In recent years, with the fast-speed development of the society and economy, the existing results of land survey can't meet the needs of macroscopical economy control and land resourse management. To healthen the survey mechanism, conform the results, enlarge the scale and fulfill the integrative survey is one content of land management work which is very exigent to carry out.The town cadastral survey of Beijing was commenced in 2000. And the updating of landuse database of 1:0000 scale was completed in 2002. Also the variation survey for landuse is proceeding every year. Now the rural cadastral survey of Beijing have not been carried out which will be done before long.In this paper, the problem in technique of rural cadastral survey is firstly considered. Plot partition, selection of mapping scale and rural cadastral survey methods and so on, are detailedly analysised. A feasible scheme is brought forward. In the research course of relationship between remote sensing images' resolutions and mapping scales, a mathematic relationship expression is got by practical survey which can guide how to map and seems very well. Also it can help the users choose the proper remote sensing data. With regard to method of rural cadastral survey, from the point of view of technique, outlay, time and the exiting data of Beijing, four methods are mentioned: RTK GPS method, graphic method using landuse data, graphic method using SPOT 5, graphic method using avigation image. Taking Miaocheng in Beijing Huairou district as an example area, tests are carried out in both plain and hilly area. The precision, advantage and disadvantage of the four methods are particularly analysed. Finally, an integrated method of rural cadastral survey is put forward.Without criterion of relative rural cadastral database and mapping, though many tests, rural cadastral mapping criterion of 1:2000 finally has been worked out.
