| With the rapid development of the computer technology, the information technology, which regards the multimedia technology of the computer and network technology as the core, has been noticed and used widely in the educational field. Computer-assisted instruction and CAI courseware has emerged, as the times require. As the result of information age, CAI technology has got the advantage that the other educating medium has never got. With the development in these twenty years, CAI of our country has made very great progress on both the theory and practice; moreover, it has been supported and paid crucial attention to by different fields gradually. The Advantage brought by CAI has been widely recognized. At the same time, it is also been doubted whether CAI will take the pale of experiments.In order to understand whether CAI courseware will replace the experiment in future, we have analyzed the characteristic of the physics experiment and its position that can't replace in this dissertation. Furthermore we redefined the relevant concepts, theoretical foundations of CAI courseware. I have studied the relevant theories about the courseware teaching of CAI in information age, for such as the theoretical foundation, pluses and minuses of CAI courseware etc. To improve the result of physics teaching, I have combined CAI courseware auxiliary physics instance of experiment, and explore CAI courseware auxiliary physics principle of experiment.This dissertation will be divided into four chapters. In chapter one, I will analyze the characteristic and necessity of the physics experiment and emphasized its unsubstitutability. In chapter two I will explain the basic conception, relevant theoretical foundations and the directive significance of CAI courseware.
