Research In The Preview And Review System For College Physical Experiment

Physics is essentially an experimental science. College Physical Experiment occupies an important place in the research in Physics. Compared with theoretical teaching, experimental teaching has an irreplaceable effect. It is a very practical course and needs massive equipments. In recent years, higher education in our country has been experiencing a profound reform in which elite education is transformed into mass education. With the rapid expanding of students, education resources are tighter day by day. The existing instruments in school can only meet the requirement of classroom teaching, thus it is very hard for students to preview and review the course, which restrict the quality of teaching.In this paper, we first introduce the history of College Physical Experiment teaching (CPET) and analyze its present development, then, a comparison of CPET at home and abroad is made. Based on the introduction, analysis and comparison, we discuss the development tendency of CPET. CAI has become a new science and has been introduced into CPE in many universities .we expatiate the present status and development tendency of applying CAI to CPET in chapter 2. CAI represents a new patter of education. It can adapt to the opening teaching patter which centers on the students, it can also promote the reform of educational pattern, educational content, teaching system and the renew of teaching method, so, applying CAI to CPE has an unmatchable advantage over the traditional teaching pattern. All the details of the preview and review system for College Physical Experiment are described in chapter 3. We expatiate its teaching procedure, including the purpose and three other important links. According to the present teaching status, the stage of preview and review is relatively weak, that is, in many universities; it is very hard for students to preview and review the course. This problem seriously inhibit quality enhancement of the physical experiment teaching. In order to solve the problem, we research and develop the preview and review system for CPE, and analyze its importance. Finally, according to the specific teaching content of physical experiment in our university, as well as the principles of making CAI courseware, we've make CAI experimental courseware. Visual Basic 6.0 and Flash MX 2004 are selected as the tools for making the coursework. Our coursework's interface style is similar to Windows. It has many good characteristics, such as friendly interface, steady running environment and strong practicability. Applying CAI to CPE is a reform of the current traditional teaching pattern of physical experiment, what's more, it has some practical value and some reference value to the modern reform of other courses.
