Jiangsu is a populous, terrene-source scarce province and the economy of the region along the seashore is undeveloped. To build "Sudong on the sea" , drive the north region of Jiangsu to develop, need to exploit ocean source , develop fishing, irrigation works, water transportation and port construction, all these mensioned here require the detailed knowledge of coastal hydrodynamic characteristics of Jiangsu province, especially the extreme sea conditions such as typhoon-induced waves, and also require the in-time hydrodynamic information query.With only two long-term waves observation stations, it is impossible to study the wind and waves of the whole coastal zone systematically, not to say the wind and waves database. Up till now, wind (including tropical cyclone) and waves have been studied only in some special coastal and Engineering areas. In addition, wind-wave numerical forecast theory still has some mechanisms to be improved, wind-wave numeric forecast , especially the typhoon-induced wave, is still the focus of international ocean research field, so the work of this dissertation is not only intend to solve engineering problems, but also has academic value and.Main contents of this dissertation consist of three parts as follows:1. According to the observation wind data (20years) of the stations along the coastal line of Jiangsu Province, wind characteristics of each region is studied statistically, and the design wind factors are determined. Wind-wave numeric model of Jiangsu coastal area is studied; wave factors in the deep water according to the correlation between wind and wave are obtained; wave field and wave factors of interesting points are simulated through the third generation wave model SWAN, and the wave field characteristics of Jiangsu Coastal line is analyzed.2. Based on the tropical cyclone information over the northwest pacific from 1989 to 2000 issued by the state whether Bureau, Intermonthly, interannual variation properties and space distribution of the tropical cyclones along the coast from Lianyungang harbor to Hangzhou Bay were statistically analysed3. Take NO. 8114 typhoon as example, according to the correlated parameters, a new quick forecasting method to determine wave height in deep water based on the Fujita typhoon model is probed into, comparison and analysis show the reasonability of the results.4. This dissertation also try to develop Mapx and link and use database by Delphi, to create a friendly inquiring form for the results of wave calculation.
