Historians of science use many words to deal with Galileo's scientific theories and appraise his contribution the history of science. No alike with the historians of science, historians of philosophy only have a few words spoken when they deal with Galileo's thought, which are only about the thought of two species natural materials. The reason comes from many aspects, but these philosophers are unjust to Galileo in this way.Galileo strongly fought against the traditional ideas of the Aristotle's theories, and he formed the thought of identity, continuance and dialectical materialism in course of his scientific research. He had written the book Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems-Ptolemaic and Copernican to refute the theory that the earth was static, and push the Copernicus' Revolution forward by protecting and advocating the cosmic principle of Copernicus; He get many scientific theories by making a thorough study of motion, so provided the materials need of which Newton was; He applied the scientific method firstly in history of science which combined mathematical inference with experience and observation organically, and entrusted modern meaning to some old-time methods, so advanced the development of scientific knowledge greatly and began the history of modern physics. Thus, philosopher must study seriously and appraise correctly the Galileo's science.Study Galileo's science from philosophic angle, his scientific thinking had revolutionized people's thoughts at that time, helpfully transformed the working style of only working in the ideology into the working style of working in the nature. His new method of studying science had made the scientific knowledge win independence. His scientific spirits of seeking truth from facts and nofearing the authority had promoted the spread of the unified motional world outlook.We can judge that Galileo was one of the revolutionist of philosophy in the sixteenth and seventeenth century according to his scientific thinking, scientific spirits and scientific methods, which influenced on the development of human thoughts.
