The Study On The Application Of GIS In Building Digital Campus

CIS (Geographic Information System) is a spatial information system for managing geographical spatial data. With the wide application of CIS, Internet and multimedia technology, many countries become to think highly of campus informatization. And then, digital campus and virtual campus in Internet appeared. In this thesis, we discuss the importance and practicability of campus informatization, and expatiate on the importance and the application of CIS in the course of building digital campus. We elaborate on the contents and structure of digital campus by analyzing the structure of WebGIS. At last, author develops a house management information system to manage the houses in Taiyuan University of Technology with VB and MapX.
