Research And Implementation Of Sharing Environmental Information Based On WEBGIS

With the development of society and technology, environmental protecting becomes the focus. And the environmental information plays an important part. The environmental information's collection, storage, and procession have developed very quickly. From the beginning, all the procession must be done by human hand, to now, the machines do all things. The DBMS also helps the development of the environmental information's storage. With the so strong support of the rich information of environment, how do we share it on web? It becomes the focus of my thesis.The development and accomplishment of WEBGIS offer a solution of the sharing environmental information. GIS (geographic information system) was set up in the 1950s. It has used a new method to connect the attribute data with the spatial data, and then analyzed with the data, gave the result on the map. It is easy to be understood. The very merit makes it focus of the research and attention of all. Web technology develops very quickly. It makes it possible for GIS convert to web. The main GIS software companies have began to covert their GIS software to WEBGIS software.In this thesis, the technology of sharing the environmental information is being discussed. And a good geographic information system is setup on the platform of MAPSIG-IMS. The first part explains the concept and category of the environmental information. By analyzing the change of the environment, the importance of the environmental protection is brought out. And the developments of the environmental monitoring at home and abroad are also discussed. Then thesis discussed the stage of the sharing the environmental information, and brought out the significance of the thesis. The second part discussed the beginning and development's history of WEBGIS, and compared the main WEBGIS software platform. The third part discussed the technology of WEBGIS more detailed, and compared the advantage and disadvantage of all the technology. The forth part explained how to set up a geographic information system on the platform MAPGIS-IMS by using ASP (active server pages) technology. From the research of hardware, to the set up the database for the attribute data, to the second develop on the platform, to the programming for the dynamic web pages, all the procedure all explained detailed. In the last part of the thesis, a conclusion was drew, and a prospect of the WEBGIS was brought forward.
