Study On The Flora And Ethnobotany In Horqin Right Wing Of Middle Banner Of Inner Mongolia

The Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner is the study object of this paper. In this paper, author investigates folk names and traditional use knowledge of wild plants in local Mongolian, based on analyzing the basic composition of flora and the diversity of flora composition in the Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner. The results are as follows:(1) There are 91 families,312 genera,601 species and the next level of the wild vascular plants in the Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner. While Compositae plants are the most common in the species composition of plants, followed by Poaceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae, Ranunculaceae, Cyperaceae, Lamiaceae. The dominant families accounted for 51.91% of the total number of plants. Artemisia is the largest genera, followed Potentilla, Carex, Polygonum, Allium, Adenophora genus, total number accounted for 12.15% of genera of plants.(2) The Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner is rich in plant species, and is more complex in flora composition. There are 14 types of distribution area of Plant genera, and flora dominated by temperate elements. Life form of plants dominated by Perennial herb plants which have 383 species accounted for 63.73% of the total number of plant species. Water ecological types of plant based by middle-growth plants which have 387 species accounted for 64.39% of the total number of species.(3) Mongolian folk names of plants have unique structure, type and basis in the Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner. Folk used 164 plant names corresponds 136 species of plant. Folk names of plants that guided the local herdsmen to identify,use and management resource of local wild plants have important practical value.(4) 113 wild plant species of tha local traditional use in the Horqin Right-wing of Middle Banner, can be divided into seven aspects such as food use, medicinal, fodder, architecture and technology, fuelwood use, goods, culture use etc.41 plant species of traditional food use include 23 species of wild vegetables,14 species of fruits,2 species of tea use,2 species of oil use, 2 spices of seasoning use,3 species of chewing use.47 species of folk medicinal wild plants have features that simple, easy to get, emergency use and so on in the choice of medicinal parts and the medicinal method of plants. In addition, there are 56 species of folk forage plants,19 species of architecture and technology of wild plants,11 species of fuel wood use of wild plants,16 species of wild plants of goods,2 species of cultural use of wild plants, are all on the production and life of local residents play an important role. Folk plants cultural phenomenon of local Mongolian such as traditional practices, taboos of plants has a positive meaning which protection of the local vegetation.
