In view of the need for the new curriculum, the instructional design of matrix and transformation is necessary for the research.This article first introduces the history of matrix and transformation, the situation of this curriculum, the educational value and the research situation of teaching, which are research backgrounds of instructional design; then outlines the theoretical basis of instructional design, specifically including instructional design theory, learning theory, teaching theory, system theory, and instructional design theory focuses on the learning needs, course content, learner and teaching objective analysis, the development of teaching strategies, the design of instructional evaluation; and then introduces the design process of matrix and transformation, rotation transformation as an example of teaching design and teaching experiments in order to accumulate the experience of teaching practice; finally gives summary, reflection and recommendations.In the instructional design process of matrix and transformation, it should be noted: (1)creating problem situations, teaching by example; (2)stressing the link between knowledge, following the spiral principles of the knowledge; (3)focusing on the penetration of mathematical thinking, in particular, the exploring way of particular to the general; (4)changing the method of learning, encouraging students to independently design study reports; (5)strengthening the application of information technology in order to highlight the geometric intuition.
