Zhuyonghong Directed by liuyushengBased on Shandong Mount Tai scenic entertaining butterfly, the present paper used wild population investigation, species specimen collection, specimen making and system identification, etc. to describe the species of butterfly and study their floristic and investigate the vertical distribution characteristics of these butterfly . On the basis of field observation at certain place in certain time and experiment breeding ect. this paper researched the biological characteristic of Byasa alcinous (Klug) .The results were as follows.1. Ornamental butterfly forty-two species, belonging to twenty-eight genera of six families, were respectively seven species of three genera Papilionidae, one species of one genus Parnassiidae, eight species of four genera Pieridae, one species of one genus of Nymphalidae, six species of five genera Satyridae, nineteen species of fourteen genera Danaidae, including a new record for Mount Tai and correction of three species.2. The floristic analysis showed that Mount Tai butterfly fauna composition: widespread species accounting for 66.67%, palaearctic species 23.81%, ornamental species 9.52%. These suggested that the Mount Tai butterfly fauna located at the transition region from the ornamental bound to the palaearctic one. Mount Tai butterfly fauna should be in the vast expanse of interchange with partial palaearcic side.3. B. alcinous (Lepidoptera: papilionidae) appears two generations in a year and overwinters as pupa. The larvae of B. alcinous with five larval instars, the total duration from egg to pupa is about thirty days. The adult, fly high gracefully with narrow wings and slim tail axon,.Its a rare resource insect. Its host plant is Aristlochia contorta Bunge (Aristolochiaceae :Aristolochia).4. The exploitation and protection proposals of the ornamental butterfly of Mount Tai butterfly were suggested , the feasibility of the B. aclcinous industrialization were analyzed for Mount Tai scenic butterfly resource utilization, such as the breeding of ornamental butterfly, development of butterfly landscape and so on. These would establish a foundation for the development of butterfly industries.
