Community Characteristics And Fauna Of Butterfly In Gansu

Using field observation, living c ulture and specimen collection, the resercher study the community characteristics and fauna of butterflies in Gansu province during June 2007 to September 2009. The results show: the resercher identified 12 family, 26 subfamily, 195 generic, 480 speciesand subspecies, 1 new record generic and 12 new record species among them.The community characteristics of the butterflies are as following: Nymphalidae and Satyridae are dominant populations. The advantage values of genus and species in Nymphalidae are 26.15% and 30.21%, respectively. The advantage values of genus and species in Satyridae are 18.46% and 18.54%, respectively. Lycaenidae and Hesperiidae are subdominant populations. The advantage values of genus and species are 22.05% and 15.21% in Lycaenidae, 15.38% and 11.25% in Hesperiidae. Acraeidae and Libyheidae are rare populations, the same advantage values of genus and species were 0.51% and 0.21%, respectively. Other families are common populations.Compared the community similarity of butterfly in Gansu to that of Shangxi, Xiangjiang, Ninxia, Qinghai, the similarity coeffiency is between 0-0.25, the alienation coefficient is too low. Compared the community similarity of butterfly in Gansu to that of Northeast, Zhejiang, the similarity coeffiency is between 0.25-0.5, the alienation coefficient is moderate. Prove that the Species diversity of butterfly in Gansu is abundent and Community organization is complicated( The butterflies distributed in Shanxi province has 100 generic and 181 species, Ninxia province has 81 generic and 124 species, 78 generic and 254 species in Xiangjiang province, 28 generic and 39 species in Qinghai province, 95 generic and 174 species in Beijing province , 230 generic and 631 species in Yunnan province , 121 generic and 217 species in Henan province , 196 generic and 341 species in Zhejiang province , 136 generic and 249 species in Fujian province , the number in Northeast is 141 generic and 341 species.).Floristic features are: 480 species and subspecies of butterflies, 87 species are Palaearctic, accounting for 18.13%, are Oriental 170, accounting for 35.42%; two circles both types of 223, 46.46%. The results above show that the butterfly in Gansu province in the animal belongs to the Oriental geographical divisions to the Palaearctic over feature. But the overall bias in the Oriental, is the Oriental in Gansu Province in the north boundary of the edge. Therefore, the extremely rich diversity of butterfly species, the distribution of the butterfly community in the region in both species in two sectors are predominant.The landskape of Gansu lookes like a dunbbell, the distance from northwest to southeast is 1655km, 530km from north to south. It has a special geography and multiplex ecological environment. The Zoogeographical division of Gansu across Oriental and Palaearctic. The versatility of environment was the foundation of species diversity, complecated community organization and unique fauna.The classification of butterflies in Gansu Province, species diversity, community structure and fauna research and conservation of butterflies in the basis of information provided, but also in Gansu Province and reasonable development and utilization of animal resources accumulated scientific data.
