Coastal areas are not only economically developed region in China, but also the area, which have more fragile geological environment and all kinds of geological hazards. As the rapid development of highway construction in China coastal area, Coastal Highway geological hazards often threaten people's lives and property and the normal operation of highway traffic. The thesis relies on the study of "Hazards of Coastal Highway" of Hebei Province Communications Department's project, making a systematic study on highway geological hazards. The main contents including:The first step is to collect a great deal of information for highway geological hazards and identifies the main types of geological hazards, including:land subsidence, coastal erosion, soil liquefaction, landslides (eight hundred and six) debris flow (sixty-five) and collapse (two hundred and seventy-six) and analyze the hazards inducing environment for the highway geological hazards, such as topography conditions, soil type, climate, water distribution, earthquake, vegetation cover and human activities etc. What we need to do next is to summary the features of development, distribution and main factors of geological disasters in coastal areas. Subsidence occurred mainly in the North China Plain and the river delta region. Some areas have joined together. Happened a long time and have a wide range, in the timing, basically corresponds to the exploitation of groundwater. Coastal erosion exists obviously difference between north and south, sandy coasts are more serious, such as Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. Liquefied sand layer is mainly distributed in China's coastal plain. Most landslides are small, soil landslide, most of the debris flows are small, slope debris flow, most of the collapses are the project collapsed, small, soil collapse. Finally, the paper presents the planning principles for coastal areas'road and impact factors of highway road planning. According to historical disasters of coastal areas and geography of Hebei Province, the paper divides the risk classification of geological hazards. Finally, this paper proposes coastal highway planning and contingency planning for different geological disasters. As the large-scale development of economic construction in China coastal areas, the highway geological hazards and the damage will likely continue to increase, however, the study of highway geological disaster is a very complex task, and now still at the exploratory stage. This article as an exploration of this work, the research ideas and methods provides a platform for future work, Hope that the colleagues, on the present basis, continue to explore by innovative spirit of the times, so that the coastal areas of highway geological hazard access even more fruitful, and highway geologic hazard mitigations are more effective.
