Feixian,located at the south of Yimeng mountain area, is an essential economic center and amajor seaport of the country.Increasing economic development and human activities oncoastal areas have contributed to various geological disasters of Feixian,which has threatenedthe public properties and safety.Therefore,risk assessment and prevention of geologicalhazards in Feixian is crucial,in order to minimize the economical losses.This article takes Feixian for example,based on the data which come from thegeology,mine,hydrology,the physical geography,the economy and the developmentprogramming of Feixian all-around,This article has found thedistribution,classification,disaster size of geological disasters as well as the places indanger.The geological disaster in62are found out,which55issued all kinds of geologicaldisasters.In the feixian actual situation and characteristics as the background,the article assess thedisaster situation and the dangerous situation of the geological disaster and hidden trouble ofscale,scope,endanger.The small disaster55;medium-sized disaster7;large danger8,mediumdanger30,small at24.At the same time,the damage degree.stability and risk of geologicaldisasters in this region have been evaluated:small risk danger of5,medium risk danger of32,high risk danger of25.With the help of the existing survey on geohazard and the information layers of GISgeohazard,the distribution characteristic of regional geohazard has been wholly analysed andthe relation between the distribution of geohazard and geological environment andprecipitating factors has been separately researched.The disaster assessing system has beenselected and extracted.The factors have been graded and assigned.The geological hazardseasy-happening areas can be divided into high easy-happening area,medium easy-happeningarea.low easy-happening area and not happening area by means of aggregative risk indexmodel.These are divided into15subregions according to the different disaster types..Finallyaccording to the easy-happening areas of the partition results.major preventionarea.second-emphasis prevention area.and general prevention area are classified.Adding tothese analyses.reasonable prevention measures and planning have been developed. Based on methods described above,the main outputs from this study are:Distributionmap for geologiealdisaster-prone areas of Feixian,Geological disaster prevention zones list ofFeixian and Geological hazards prevention layout of Feixian.A risk of geological hazardindicates the Potential damage of a disaster to the society.Moreover,the order of damagedegrees offers an objective basis for decision makers.
