| In 2021,General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important article "Solidly promoting common prosperity" clearly proposed that "Now,we have reached the historical stage of solidly promoting common prosperity." He stressed that "the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development in our country is still prominent,and the gap between urban and rural regional development and income distribution is large" and put forward,"It is necessary to prevent the solidification of social classes,smooth the channel of upward mobility,create opportunities for more people to get rich,form a development environment in which everyone participates,and avoid ’involvement’ and ’lying flat’." The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also proposed to "improve the distribution system,adhere to distribution according to work as the main body,coexistence of multiple distribution methods,adhere to more work and more rewards,encourage hard work to get rich,and promote equal opportunities." It can be seen that narrowing the income distribution gap,promoting equal opportunities,and avoiding the solidification of social classes caused by the high income distribution gap have become important tasks to solidly promote China’s economic and social development in the stage of common prosperity.The intergenerational transmission of income gap is closely related to issues such as "income gap","equal opportunity" and "solidification of social class".In this context,taking Marxist income distribution theory as the guide to carry out research on the intergenerational transmission of income gap among Chinese residents,it has important theoretical and practical significance for solidly promoting the stage of common prosperity to narrow the income distribution gap in China,promote equal opportunities,and avoid the solidification of social class.Guided by the Marxist theory of income distribution,this paper focuses on the practical problem of intergenerational transmission of income gap.Firstly,the relevant concepts of intergenerational transmission of income gap are defined,and the main contents of Marxist income distribution theory are sorted out,which lays a theoretical foundation for this paper.Secondly,on the basis of examining the phenomenon of intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents,the root cause and inevitability of the intergenerational transmission of income gap of Chinese residents are analyzed theoretically,and the formation mechanism of intergenerational transmission of income gap is analyzed from the practical level,so as to construct a theoretical analysis framework for intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents.In terms of quantitative research,the data of China Household Income Survey(CHIP)is used to depict the dynamic evolution of the intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents,empirically test the main path of intergenerational transmission of income gap,and try to predict the trend of intergenerational transmission of income gap in China in stages.Next,the overview of the intergenerational transmission of income disparity among foreign residents and its main governance measures were examined,and its lessons were summarized.Finally,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for China’s governance of the intergenerational transmission of residents’ income gap.After analysis and argumentation,the main points of this paper include: to study the intergenerational transmission of income disparity among Chinese residents,we must adhere to the guidance of Marxist income distribution theory,and must be based on the national conditions of the initial stage of socialism in China;In the process of gradual income distribution system reform,the income distribution of Chinese residents presents an evolution trend of "high average income distribution-income gap continues to expand-income gap gradually narrows",and in this process,a certain degree of income gap is transmitted between generations.The root cause of intergenerational transmission of income gap lies in the ownership system,and at this stage,there is a certain degree of intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents,which is inevitable and has the practical urgency of restricting it;Since the reform and opening up,the intergenerational transmission of income gap in China has shown the evolution characteristics of first strengthening and then weakening,and education,social relationship network and family property are the main media for the intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents.Based on the initial stage of socialism,China’s goal in controlling the intergenerational transmission of residents’ income gap is to limit it to an acceptable range,and on the premise of adhering to and improving the basic socialist economic system,we should take multiple measures to limit the intergenerational transmission of income disparity around improving the public education system,improving the labor market,optimizing the tax system and improving the social security system.The issue of income distribution is a basic issue of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics,and the essential requirement of the socialist system is to enable all members of society to live a better life and achieve common prosperity.The intergenerational transmission of income gap belongs to the research scope of income distribution,and is a basic research that serves to promote the practice of common prosperity in China.This paper comprehensively uses text analysis method,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods to study the intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents,so as to put forward corresponding insights and propositions on important theoretical and practical issues such as the root,inevitability,formation mechanism,governance goal and governance measures of intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents,and provides positive and beneficial exploration for the theoretical research on the intergenerational transmission of income gap in Chinese residents. |
