| In the developed economies of the world,the proportion of the tertiary industry is generally more than the sum of the proportion of the primary industry and the secondary industry,and in the tertiary industry,the service industry is the main body,the service-oriented economy has become increasingly important and has become the economic pillar of the developed countries.At present,the proportion of service industry output value in GDP of developed countries generally exceeds 70%,and its dominant economic component has shifted from industrial economy to service economy,the service industry of developing countries has gradually entered the stage of rapid development,and the proportion of service industry output value in GDP is increasing year by year.With the accelerated trend of service-oriented economy,it is a general trend for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to carry out service-oriented transformation and service innovation.It can be seen that Chinese manufacturing enterprises should not only carry out traditional product innovation and technological innovation,but also carry out emerging service innovation and service transformation.At present,due to the increasing complexity of innovation,it is difficult for a single manufacturing enterprise to carry out effective innovation,and the current service innovation resources,service innovation ability and service innovation experience of Chinese manufacturing enterprises are relatively weak.Therefore,it is increasingly accepted by many manufacturing enterprises to acquire resources,experience,technology and ability of service transformation and service innovation by constructing supply chain alliance of manufacturing enterprises.By building the supply chain alliance of manufacturing enterprises,each manufacturing enterprise can obtain service innovation resources,disperse innovation risks,reduce innovation costs and accelerate service innovation speed,and make each manufacturing enterprise joining the alliance create more performance.However,with the expansion of the scale of supply chain alliance,the differences among the supply chain partners are becoming more and more difficult to coordinate,which are manifested as: the cultural differences between the partners are becoming larger and larger,the resources are becoming difficult to complement each other,and the goals are difficult to coordinate.If these expanding differences between enterprises are not guided and dealt with,it will lead to resource mismatch among supply chain partners,blind pursuit of "short and fast" in cooperative innovation,and neglect of deep integration between enterprises,and ultimately fail to achieve the expected service innovation effect.Therefore,the existing research should adhere to the idea of seeking common ground while reserving differences.While acknowledging the differences between enterprises,it should match various elements among partners to the greatest extent.The managers of supply chain alliance should focus on the whole supply chain from a global perspective,select the appropriate standard of supply chain partners,and start to check the matching of new enterprises from the moment they apply to join the supply chain,so as to minimize the differences among various partners,and give full play to the scale effect and synergy effect of supply chain alliance,so as to achieve the best service innovation performance.Therefore,the core enterprises of supply chain alliance must make clear the selection criteria of partners--that is,the characteristics of supply chain partners,so as to provide a feasible reference basis for the matching between enterprises.In the existing literature research,some domestic and foreign scholars have noticed that the characteristics of supply chain partners have a positive effect on the improvement of innovation performance,but there is still a lack of comprehensive and systematic theoretical research on the relationship between the characteristics of supply chain partners and service innovation performance,that is,the mechanism of the improvement of service innovation performance by the characteristics of supply chain partners.In view of this,this study will be based on organizational learning theory,follow the theoretical framework of "characteristics-learning-performance",combined with the background of service-oriented transformation of manufacturing enterprises,focus on the theme of "the impact of manufacturing enterprise supply chain partner characteristics on service innovation performance",and fully draw on the existing research results and analysis methods at home and abroad,the relationships among the characteristics of supply chain partners,relationship quality,organizational learning,absorptive capacity,service innovation performance are analyzed theoretically and tested empirically.By means of exploratory case study,theoretical derivation,empirical analysis and other qualitative and quantitative demonstration methods,this study has been carried out layer by layer to explore the following theoretical issues: First,what is the relationship between the characteristics of supply chain partners and service innovation performance? Second,what is the specific path that supply chain partner characteristics affect service innovation performance? Third,will the relationship quality and absorptive capacity affect the specific path from the above supply chain partner characteristics to service innovation performance? For these three theoretical issues,this thesis has carried out the following targeted research:(1)Based on the existing theoretical research and empirical analysis,this thesis deeply explores the definition and dimension division of supply chain partner characteristics,and constructs a theoretical model of the impact of supply chain partner characteristics on service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises.This thesis puts forward corresponding research hypotheses through theoretical analysis,the research results show that the characteristics of supply chain partners can not only directly and positively affect the service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises,but also improve the service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises through the exploitative learning and exploratory learning in the dual organizational learning.(2)Through multiple analysis methods such as exploratory case study analysis and theoretical hypothesis analysis,the research model of this thesis is constructed.First of all,based on the exploratory case study,the relevant propositions of this study are put forward.Then,based on the relevant propositions,25 detailed research hypotheses about this study are proposed by theoretical deduction.Finally,339 valid sample data of manufacturing enterprises in central and eastern China were collected by questionnaire survey,and the 25 detailed research hypotheses proposed in this thesis were tested empirically by using multiple regression analysis and other empirical methods.(3)On the basis of the above two studies,from the perspective of contingency,this thesis finds that the effect of supply chain partner characteristics of manufacturing enterprises on service innovation performance will be affected by other factors,so it is necessary to further explore its boundary conditions.Therefore,this study will introduce the relationship quality and absorptive capacity,which are two moderating variables,to further explore whether there are differences in the impact mechanism of the supply chain partner characteristics of manufacturing enterprises on organizational learning among enterprises within the supply chain under different relationship quality scenarios;In the context of different absorptive capacity,whether there are differences in the influence mechanism of organizational learning on service innovation performance among enterprises within the supply chain.By using correlation analysis,multiple regression analysis and other empirical methods to analyze the sample data of manufacturing enterprises,first,the moderating effect of relationship quality between supply chain partner characteristics and organizational learning is empirically tested,and then the moderating effect of absorptive capacity between organizational learning and service innovation performance is empirically tested,so as to explore the moderating effect of relationship quality and absorptive capacity on the above specific paths.Based on the above targeted research,this study draws the following key conclusions:(1)The characteristics of supply chain partners can positively affect the service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises.Through theoretical analysis,the characteristics of supply chain partners can be divided into three dimensions: resource complementarity,cultural compatibility and target synergy.This study collected 339 pieces of effective questionnaire data of manufacturing enterprises through questionnaire survey.Through empirical analysis,it was found that these three dimensions can positively affect the service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises.(2)The characteristics of supply chain partners can positively affect the service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises by promoting the dual organizational learning among enterprises.Both exploitative learning and exploratory learning play mediating roles between the characteristics of supply chain partners and service innovation performance.Specifically,exploitative learning and exploratory learning play a partial mediating role between resource complementarity and service innovation performance;Exploitative learning and exploratory learning play a partial mediating role between cultural compatibility and service innovation performance;Exploitative learning and exploratory learning plays a complete mediating role between target synergy and service innovation performance.(3)Relationship quality plays an important moderating role in the mechanism between supply chain partner characteristics and organizational learning;Absorptive capacity plays an important moderating role in the mechanism between organizational learning and service innovation performance.This thesis introduces relationship quality to examine its contingency effect on the relationship between supply chain partner characteristics and organizational learning;At the same time,this thesis also introduces absorptive capacity to examine its contingency effect on the relationship between organizational learning and service innovation performance.Through empirical analysis,it is found that relationship quality plays a significant positive moderating role between resource complementarity and exploitative learning,resource complementarity and exploratory learning,cultural compatibility and exploitative learning,target synergy and exploitative learning,target synergy and exploratory learning;Absorptive capacity plays a significant positive moderating role between exploitative learning and service innovation performance and between exploratory learning and service innovation performance.This thesis brings five variables of supply chain partnership characteristics,relationship quality,dual organizational learning,absorptive capacity and service innovation performance into a unified theoretical model framework.Taking organizational learning theory as the theoretical basis of this study,the mechanism of supply chain partner characteristics improving service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises is defined.Based on the above research work,this thesis mainly makes the following three theoretical contributions:(1)From the perspective of manufacturing enterprise supply chain,this thesis reveals the direct mechanism of supply chain partner characteristics on service innovation performance.Based on the servitization transformation and service innovation of manufacturing enterprises,this thesis has further deepened the research on the characteristics of supply chain partners,extending the research field of supply chain partner characteristics from innovation performance to service innovation performance,this research result extends the research on the antecedents of service innovation performance.This study also expands the research scope of the service transformation research object of manufacturing enterprises from a single manufacturing enterprise to the whole manufacturing supply chain,thus enriching the partner characteristics of the supply chain of manufacturing enterprises and the research results of the service transformation object of manufacturing enterprises.From the perspective of supply chain of manufacturing enterprises,this thesis proposes a new mechanism for manufacturing enterprises to improve service innovation performance under the background of service-oriented transformation of manufacturing enterprises.This will help the academic circle to better understand the theoretical research on improving service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises,and at the same time provide a new entry point for manufacturing enterprises to improve service innovation performance.(2)From the perspective of organizational learning theory,it is revealed that dual organizational learning is the key path for the characteristics of supply chain partners to affect service innovation performance.Based on the organizational learning theory,this study clearly proposes the mediating mechanism of the improvement of service innovation performance by the characteristics of supply chain partners,that is,the improvement path of service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises,which takes the characteristics of supply chain partners as the independent variable,takes organizational learning as the mediating variable(exploitative learning and exploratory learning as the mediating variable,respectively),and takes service innovation performance as the dependent variable,that is to say,the thesis reveals the black box of the influence mechanism of the characteristics of supply chain partners on service innovation performance,constructs a multiple mediation effect model including exploitative learning and exploratory learning,and proposes that exploitative learning and exploratory learning are important mediation variables of supply chain partner characteristics affecting service innovation performance.This is a supplement to the existing research that failed to explain how manufacturing supply chain can improve service innovation performance under the background of service-oriented transformation from the perspective of dual organizational learning theory,thus,it further enriched the research on service innovation management in the supply chain of manufacturing enterprises,provided a new research perspective for the research on service innovation performance improvement of manufacturing enterprises,and also provided an important reference for manufacturing enterprises to improve service innovation performance under the background of service-oriented transformation.(3)Explained the situational effects of relationship quality and absorptive capacity on the path of "supply chain partner characteristics--organizational learning--service innovation performance",the moderating effects of relationship quality and absorptive capacity on the above path are revealed,and it provided an important reference for manufacturing enterprises to build efficient supply chain alliances according to different relationship quality and absorptive capacity in order to achieve high quality service innovation performance,and from the contingency perspective,it expands the research on service innovation in the context of supply chain service-oriented transformation of manufacturing enterprises.Most of the existing literature studies demonstrate the simple binary relationship between the characteristics of supply chain partners and performance,and draw conclusions such as a simple positive impact relationship between the two,but there are few literature studies describing the dynamic relationship between the two from the perspective of contingency,which can not well solve the Chinese local situational problems faced by manufacturing enterprises in the supply chain when implementing service innovation.Therefore,from the perspective of contingency,this thesis introduces relationship quality,a moderating variable with Chinese situational characteristics,to test its moderating effect on the relationship between supply chain partner characteristics and organizational learning;at the same time,absorptive capacity is introduced as a moderating variable to investigate the dynamic relationship between dual organizational learning and service innovation performance,thus further complementing the situational research on service innovation of manufacturing enterprises.By revealing the boundary conditions that affect the characteristics of supply chain partners,organizational learning and service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises,this study expands the application field and research scope of relationship quality and absorptive capacity in the Chinese context,and provides a new theoretical reference for subsequent researchers. |
