High tech industries have the characteristics of technology intensity and high returns,representing an important direction for industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development.In recent years,the trend of high-tech industry agglomeration in China has been significant,and the level of industrial innovation has continued to improve.The impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency has become a hot research topic in the academic community.There are differences in the level of high-tech industry agglomeration and the externality of agglomeration technology in different regions of China.The technology system and the development path of agglomeration innovation of high-tech industry segments are also different.The impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency is characterized by regional heterogeneity and industrial heterogeneity.In order to promote the technological innovation of high-tech industries and their sub industries in China,and narrow the regional gap in the innovation and development of high-tech industries,this paper analyzes the technological externality of high-tech industry agglomeration,its regional heterogeneity and industrial heterogeneity,and explores the moderating role of market demand in the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency,as well as its regional heterogeneity and industrial heterogeneity.On the basis of reviewing and summarizing the research and theories related to high-tech industry agglomeration and innovation,this article gradually and deeply demonstrates the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency in China from the following three levels.From a theoretical analysis perspective,the impact mechanism of high-tech industry agglomeration on technological innovation efficiency was elaborated.The agglomeration of high-tech industries has shortened the geographical distance between enterprises,accelerated the rate of information dissemination,and promoted the efficiency of innovation through knowledge spillover,increasing economies of scale,and gathering competitive advantages.The agglomeration of high-tech industries in China can promote the improvement of innovation efficiency.Market demand plays a positive role in regulating the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency at the national level.The impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency and the regulatory effect of market demand both exhibit regional and industry heterogeneity.From the perspective of current situation analysis,describe the current situation of high-tech industry agglomeration and innovation efficiency in China,measure the degree of high-tech industry agglomeration and industrial innovation efficiency indicators,and evaluate the spatial differentiation and industry differentiation characteristics of industrial agglomeration and innovation efficiency.In the study of high-tech industry agglomeration,we analyze the development status of high-tech industry in China,the current situation of industrial agglomeration,regional differences,and industry differences,and calculate the agglomeration indicators of high-tech industries and their sub industries.The results show that the level of high-tech industry agglomeration in China tends to stabilize from 2012 to 2019,and there is significant regional and industry heterogeneity in high-tech industry agglomeration.In the research on the efficiency of innovation in high-tech industries,describe the current situation of innovation in high-tech industries,and use the two-stage chain data envelopment analysis DEA Malmquist method based on the input-output method to calculate the two-stage comprehensive innovation efficiency,the efficiency of each stage and the decomposition index of innovation efficiency of high-tech industries and their sub industries.The results show that the national average data of comprehensive innovation efficiency in high-tech industries and their sub sectors is greater than 1 in most years,indicating that innovation in high-tech industries and their sub sectors is effective,but there are regional and industry differences in innovation efficiency.From an empirical analysis perspective,this study investigates the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency,as well as its regional heterogeneity,industry heterogeneity,and market demand regulation.The system GMM model and threshold regression model are used to examine the impact of hightech industrial agglomeration on innovation efficiency in China,and the endogenous test and robustness test are passed.Constructing a moderating effect model to analyze the moderating effect of market demand on the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency at the national level.Research has found that overall,high-tech industry agglomeration promotes the improvement of innovation efficiency in China,and high-tech industry agglomeration has a threshold effect on innovation efficiency.The impact of consumption demand,investment demand,and export demand on the promotion of technological innovation efficiency by high-tech industry agglomeration has a positive moderation effect,with the moderating effect ranking as consumption demand>investment demand > export demand.Constructing a research model on the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency at the regional level of economy in China,as well as a moderating effect model of consumer demand,investment demand,and export demand on the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency in various economic regions.Research has found that there is regional heterogeneity in the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency and market demand regulation in China.The agglomeration of high-tech industries in the eastern,central,and western regions has a significant positive impact on innovation efficiency,with the order of impact effects being Central>Western>Eastern,while the impact effect in the northeastern region is not significant.The high-tech industrial agglomeration in the integrated economic zones,such as the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,the middle reaches of the Yellow River,the Great Southwest,the eastern coast,the northern coast,and the southern coast,has a significant positive impact on the efficiency of innovation,while the externality of technology agglomeration in the great northwest are not significant.The consumption,investment,export and other market demands in the central region play a positive role in regulating the impact of high-tech industrial agglomeration on promoting innovation efficiency.There is a positive adjustment of consumption demand and export demand on the positive externality of agglomeration technology in the eastern region,a positive adjustment of consumption demand and investment demand on the positive externality of agglomeration technology in the western region,and a positive adjustment of investment demand on the positive externality of agglomeration technology in the northeast region.There is a positive regulation of consumption demand in five comprehensive economic zones,including the eastern coast,while there is a positive regulation of investment demand in five comprehensive economic zones,including the Greater Southwest.There is a positive adjustment in export demand in the three comprehensive economic zones along the southern coast.Building an impact model of high-tech industry sub industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency,and investigate the technological externality and market demand adjustment effects of high-tech industry sub industry agglomeration.The research finds that high-tech industry segments have a general trend that the positive externality of agglomeration technology are greater than the negative externality in China.However,there is industry heterogeneity in the impact of agglomeration on innovation efficiency among different segments,the aglomoration of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing,computer and office equipment manufacturing has a significant promoting effect on innovation efficiency,and there are also industry differences in the regulatory role of market demand.In summary,this article delves into the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on innovation efficiency,and analyzes and explains it from the perspectives of regional heterogeneity,industry heterogeneity,and market demand regulation.Based on the research conclusions of this article and the actual development of high-tech industries,suggestions are proposed that are conducive to the agglomeration of high-tech industries and the improvement of innovation efficiency in China,and promote the development of industrial innovation.
