Discipline building is an important part of party building.The theory of how to enforce party discipline plays an important role in the Marxist Party building Theory.Discipline building is taken as the research topic of the paper,which is mainly based on two aspects.On the one hand,discipline building is regarded as the eternal theme of party building in theory and practice as well as the research origin.The nature of discipline determines its special value to a party,especially to a Marxist party.The Communist Party of China is a Marxist party based on revolutionary ideals and strict discipline.It is the glorious tradition and unique advantage of the Communist Party of China to attach importance to discipline and be strict in discipline.Looking back on the history of the Party for nearly a century,the distinct discipline always runs through the Party leadership and building.One of the fundamental reasons why we can achieve the great victories about revolution,construction and reform from small to large and from weakness to mightiness is that we always attach importance to discipline building and Party governance in accordance with strict discipline.Since our 18th National Congress,the socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The more complex the situation the party faces and the more arduous tasks it shoulders,the more necessary it is to strengthen discipline,ensure the unity and constant progress of the whole Party and provide the strong guarantee for the fulfillment of the historical mission of the Party in the new era.On the other hand,discipline building is an important part of the overall plan of Party building in the new era as well as the direct motivation for the research of the paper.First of all,the Theory of how to enforce discipline is divorced from practice to a certain extent.Our Party has promoted the practice of discipline building,made great achievements and played an important role continuously in the past century.However,the concept of "discipline building" is not defined clearly.The theory of how to enforce discipline is also not systematic or complete.The concept of "discipline building" was first put forward in the report to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Since our 18th National Congress,the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at the core has made ideas about Party building,discipline building is frequent in the practice and theoretical research of Party building.The general requirements for Party building in the new era were proposed creatively in the report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,emphasizing "make all-round efforts to see the Party’s political building enhanced,its theory strengthened,its organizations consolidated,its conduct improved,and its discipline enforced,with institution building incorporated into every aspect of Party building;Step up efforts to combat corruption and continue to improve the efficacy of Party building".It was the first time that our Party had taken discipline building as an important part of the overall plan of Party building formally and included it into Party Constitution.It provided a new theoretical growth point and expansion space for the Marxist Party building Theory and opened a new era of discipline building for the Party."The discipline building of the Communist Party of China in the new era" is taken as the research object of the paper.It is not only a summary of practical experience of the Party about discipline building in the past more than ninety years,but also a reflection of the problems existing in Party building and discipline building.The research is also a fundamental policy to promote the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party in the new era.It is of important theoretical value and practical significance.Firstly,it is theoretical innovation.Among the current research results,there is a lack of comprehensive and systematic research results on discipline building.This paper studies and sorts out the party’s discipline building comprehensively and systematically,answers a series of important relationship between discipline building and other aspects of party building is analyzed.The historical practice of discipline building in the Democratic Revolution Period,in the Socialist Revolution and Construction Period,in the New Period of Reform and Opening up and since our 18th National Congress is investigated in the second chapter.It is mainly aimed to sort out the important standardization of the reform on the discipline inspection system.
