A Study On Nalan Xingde's Elegy Poem

Nalan xingde was a famous Manchu poet in the Qing Dynasty.His eulogy is unique in spirit,sincere feelings,and sorrowful,showing the poet’s personality,temperament,experience,aesthetic orientation and thoughts on Ci."Dream image" is one of the key features of Nalan’s eulogy.It creates a miserable artistic realm for the work and effectively enhances the aesthetic value of the work.This thesis strives to start with psychology and interpret it in depth.The thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter One "Four related issues in the creation of Nalan’s eulogy".Section One discusses the several creation-related backgrounds of the poet’s ancestry,family history,life,the contradiction between father and son,and the end of the era.The above elements complement each other and jointly create a three-dimensional and dynamic literary creation background for the poet.Section Two discusses the composition of the poet’s complex thoughts.It is believed that the poet is influenced by the three religions,and the three play an important role in the promotion of his life’s destiny,and also affect his psychological state and corresponding decision-making when encountering an accident.Section Three,a comprehensive understanding of the poet’s emotional status and marriage and love facts,can bring us closer to the poet’s true and complex emotional status and psychological feelings,and make the relevant analysis more three-dimensional and objective.Section Four,specifically defines Nalan’s eulogy.According to the analysis and statistics,the 44 eulogy written by Nalan in eight years are listed one by one,laying a solid foundation for the following analysis.Chapter Two "The Art of Nalan’s Eulogy".Section one,discuss the author’s thoughts on writing,and summarize it into four points:"Write the emotion","Pay attention to originality","Prefer to write worrying emotions" and "Pay attention to the bixing sustenance".Section Two,discuss The style of Nalan’s eulogy presents the characteristics of "fresh and natural","sorrowful",and "sincere".Section Three,discusses the four points of his writing techniques:"seeing the big from the small","using the classic love tragic allusions of the predecessors","the method of coexistence of the false and the reality" and "good at using the best sentences of the predecessors"·Section Four,discuss the value and characteristics of his eulogy:"use mourning as a creation subject,and open up Qing Ci’s theme,"Expanding the artistic space and capacity of eulogy" and "Showing the noble and passionate love of the poet".Chapter Three "The Imagery in Nalan’s Eulogy".Section One,referring to Yuan Xingpei’s classification method,the images in Nalan’s eulogy are classified as "natural images","social life images","human images","human creation images" and "fictional imagery".These images were carefully selected to form a unique image group,which became the external expression of the poet’s affection,and became an indispensable part of shaping the sorrowful poetry style and the desolate artistic conception.Section Two,the overall characteristics of the image of Nalan’s eulogy are summed up as "the use of color is miserable"," incomplete beauty" and "individualization".The bleak and gloomy image features effectively reflect the uncontrollable grief in the poet’s heart;the beautiful incomplete image or combination of images is used to metaphor the beautiful love is easily broken;the poet infiltrates his subjective emotions,and these images or image groups are infiltrated by People’s unique emotional hardship,aesthetic tendency and strong personality color,thus enhancing the emotional contagion ability of readers.Chapter Four "the dream image of Nalan’s eulogy".Section One,we will first discuss the different interpretations and connotations of "dream" from the four disciplines of "Dream Studies","Supernatural Studies","Psychology" and "Literature".It will also help us to discover the connections between the four.Understanding the physical attributes of physiological and psychological dreams helps us to deeply explore the inner world of a certain writer.Section Two discusses the "dream image" in Nalan’s eulogy,including:interpretation;discusses the "textualization" process of Nalan’s eulogy "dream image";discusses the aesthetic value of Nalan’s eulogy "dream image";Scientifically categorize the related Nalan eulogy related to "dream image".In-depth and targeted only focus on the"dream image" in Nalan’s eulogy,starting from multiple angles and dimensions,combining multiple disciplines,and also borrowing statistical methods to combine the macro and micro the study.Chapter Five "Psychological Analysis of the Dream Image of Nalan’s Elegy".With the help of Western modern psychology theories,especially the theory of Jung and Freud,we carefully analyze the many dream-related eulogy of Nalai Xingde one by one.Section One,explore the Poet’s feeling about uncontrollable over life and death,and the afterlife.The fear of not understanding and being separated from the loved one forever;Section Two,we explore poet’s feeling of dissatisfaction and emptiness after losing the beloved;Section Three,we recognized the unconscious impulse of poet’s"active dreaming" to satisfy the original emotional needs and the happy result is the realization of a wish and dream;Section Four,we discovered poet’s actively explores and thinks about the future results of human life problems.It proved that,from the analysis of the poet’s deeper mental state,after the loss of his wife,in addition to the intuitive sense of grief,a huge,contradictory,and unstable psychological energy was collected in the poet’s heart,and one by one concretely turned into the"dream image" in the eulogy.
