| The economy in China has shifted from a stage of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development,and the focus of development is based on technological innovation and the enhancement of the international competitiveness of the real economy.As a pillar industry that measures the real economy of a country,the equipment manufacturing industry is the core of the manufacturing industry.Although my country’s equipment manufacturing industry has formed a complete system,“big but not strong” and lack of internal power are the bottlenecks faced by the current equipment manufacturing industry,and technological independent innovation is to break through low-end locks,strategic barriers and promote manufacturing upgrades.The fundamental driving force,and the equipment manufacturing industry is also the forefront of realizing my country’s technological independent innovation.What is the mechanism and transmission mechanism of technological innovation as a micro-power to the macro-industrial upgrading? How to find the direction and opportunity to determine the rationalization and advanced upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry through technological innovation? What is the transmission medium between technological innovation and industrial upgrading? These are the important theoretical and practical problems facing China at the moment.Accordingly,this article uses the theory of product space,technological innovation and industrial upgrading,and takes the mediating role of product heterogeneity(vertical heterogeneity and spatial heterogeneity)between technological innovation and industrial upgrading as the logical main line to construct a theoretical framework and empirical evidence.Model,in-depth discussion of the mechanism and intermediary effects between technological innovation and equipment manufacturing upgrades.On this basis,using China’s prefecture-level regions as the measurement scale,select the provincial panels of the seven major equipment manufacturing products from 2006 to 2018 The data constructs a spatial distribution map of China’s products,studies the characteristics of product space-time changes in China ’ s equipment manufacturing industry,and based on thresholds derived from the threshold effect,combined with product spatial heterogeneity,in-depth study of the industrial upgrading characteristics,potential and capability endowments of the seven major equipment manufacturing industries Based on the overall situation of China’s seven major equipment manufacturing industries,they can judge the future development direction and industrial upgrading timing of China ’ s seven major equipment manufacturing industries,summarize their respective characteristics,and put forward countermeasures and recommendations that are in line with the rationalization and advanced development of the equipment manufacturing industry.The main work of this paper is as follows: First,the relevant theories and literature reviews are systematically sorted out along the technical route of this paper,and on this basis,theoretical models are analyzed and researched on the mechanism of technological innovation,product heterogeneity and industrial upgrading.;Second,according to theoretical and mechanism analysis,empirical fitting analysis,regression test,threshold effect analysis,and robustness test are carried out.On this basis,detailed statistics are made on the threshold values of the seven major equipment manufacturing industries and the empirical The results are in-depth research and summary;third,the mediating effect of product heterogeneity between technological innovation and industrial upgrading is studied,and robustness test and empirical result analysis are carried out;fourth,the product structure space diagram and ability endowment are constructed The distribution map studies the spatial distribution of upgrades of the seven major equipment manufacturing industries,and specifically analyzes the characteristics and spatial locations of the development and future upgrades of the equipment manufacturing industry.Fifth,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions based on the research conclusions and conducts future research.Outlook.Through the above work,this article draws the following conclusions:(1)Technological innovation and product heterogeneity,product heterogeneity and industrial upgrading have an obvious positive correlation within a certain threshold range,and technological innovation and product heterogeneity,and product heterogeneity and industrial upgrading have an inverted U-shaped relationship.Product heterogeneity between technological innovation and industrial upgrading has an innovative intermediary function,which is an important medium for strengthening the transformation of technological innovation to industrial upgrading.The effect of this strengthening is different between different regions and the seven major equipment manufacturing industries,which means that the vertical heterogeneity and spatial heterogeneity of products play a role in the transmission of micro-technological changes to more macro-scale industrial upgrades,and this effect is relatively stable.(2)Product heterogeneity has an obvious intermediary effect between technological innovation and industrial upgrading.This effect has different effects in different regions and among the seven major equipment manufacturing industries,but it is relatively stable.(3)By studying the two thresholds of technological innovation and product heterogeneity,product heterogeneity and industrial upgrading,the path and opportunity of industrial upgrading can be judged more accurately.(4)From the results of the empirical research,my country ’ s equipment manufacturing industry structure is unbalanced,and there is a large gap between provinces.There are relatively few industries with higher production capacity endowments,and more are those with lower proximity.Low-level distribution of ability endowments.From a national perspective,the proportion of provinces with weaker comparative advantages in the equipment manufacturing industry is still relatively large.These problems need to be changed through correct and reasonable policy guidance and orderly market competition. |
