Research On The Impact Of Technological Innovation On The International Competitiveness Of China’s Equipment Manufacturing Industry

With the equipment manufacturing industry international market competition tends to be white-hot,China’s equipment manufacturing industry is facing the developed countries and developing countries "two-way squeeze" development dilemma.The focus of international competition is also from wealth,financial transfer to industrial technology innovation.Who can take the lead in the equipment manufacturing technology innovation,who will be able to occupy an advantageous position in the industrial transformation.But at this stage,China’s equipment manufacturing industry in the basic components supporting,core technology and independent innovation capabilities and other aspects of the international advanced level still exists a large gap,its core content with high technology is still in the hands of foreign countries.China’s equipment manufacturing industry is facing serious challenges,international competitiveness needs to be enhanced.The paper analyzes the overall development,technological innovation and international competitiveness of the equipment manufacturing industry based on the review of the current situation of domestic and foreign research and the definition of relevant concepts,and investigates the mechanism of technological innovation on the international competitiveness of the equipment manufacturing industry.Then,the evaluation index system of international competitiveness and technological innovation of China’s equipment manufacturing industry is constructed by using causal logic and group decision characteristic root method with seven equipment manufacturing industry segments as samples,and the two are measured based on entropy value method.On this basis,PVAR model is selected to study the interaction between technological innovation and international competitiveness from a dynamic perspective,and to analyze the degree of influence of technological innovation on international competitiveness in depth.The results show that the level of international competitiveness of China’s equipment manufacturing industry and the level of technological innovation have shown a steady increase overall since 2011-2020,but the overall evaluation results are generally less than 0.5,and the development level of both still needs to be strengthened;there is a two-way Granger causality between technological innovation and international competitiveness;the innovation and progress of technology has a positive promoting effect on the improvement of the international competitiveness of industry,but The promotion effect of technological innovation on international competitiveness has long-term and lagging effects,and the mechanism of technological innovation on the improvement of international competitiveness of industries will gradually weaken over time.Finally,focusing on the full-text study,we propose strategies to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s equipment manufacturing industry from the aspects of optimizing the industrial structure of export products,improving the national innovation system,increasing the investment in R&D funds,improving the incentive mechanism of talents,and promoting the development of technology factor market.
