| Taking the change of contemporary Xinjiang Uygur costume culture as a main thread,the article sorts through the evolution of Xinjiang Uygur costume since the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and summarizes the characteristics and laws of Xinjiang Uygur costume culture in each stage of its development,also clarifies the interweaving and interactive relationship between the traditional ethnic costume culture and modern dress culture,and its universal significance as well as indicative function in national and social development.Based on the analysis of various internal and external factors that influence the evolution of contemporary Uygur costume culture,the role and tortuous course of Uygur costume culture in the process of ethnic identity,national identity and the construction of the community for Chinese nation are fully displayed,and the discussion on how to correctly understand and make the best of the dialectical relationship between the development of multi-ethnic costume culture and the construction of Chinese cultural community in the complicated environment at home and abroad is also given.The article insists that the traditional costume culture of various ethnic groups should be inherited from the sense of building community for the Chinese nation,and the pernicious influence of "three forces" on the costume culture of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang should be removed to develop the costume culture shared by all ethnic groups in the new era.Besides,the Chinese cultural identity,national identity and sense of belonging to a shared spiritual home should be strengthened among different ethnic groups in Xinjiang by sharing the costume culture,which lays a solid cultural and social foundation for maintaining social stability in Xinjiang and realizing the overall goal of achieving lasting peace and stability.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion,the main structure of the article is composed of the following five chapters:The first chapter,taking the trend of history as a clue,describes the natural and cultural environment of the multi-ethnic costume culture in Xinjiang from the aspect of time and space,as well as multi-ethnic cultural exchanges and integration,and systematically sorts through the evolution of Xinjiang multi-ethnic costumes and multi-costume culture before the founding of the People’s Republic of China,including its generation,development and integration,which,focusing on the analysis of the evolution of Xinjiang Uygur costume and costume culture in modern times,clarifies the diversity and openness of Xinjiang costume culture in history,especially its contribution to the development of Chinese costume culture.The second chapter mainly discusses the evolution and development of costume of Xinjiang Uyghur at all walks of life after the founding of the People’s Republic of China under the influence of changing political environment at home and abroad,social reform and personal identity remodeling,and analyzes the relationship between social change and the evolution of costume culture.The hierarchical and epochal characteristics of the evolution and development of traditional and modern Uyghur costume culture are also discussed.The third chapter mainly describes the evolution of Xinjiang Uygur costume and costume culture during the "Cultural Revolution",focusing on the influence of multiple factors,such as the deterioration of Sino-Soviet relations and the domestic "Cultural Revolution",on the costumes choice of various classes of Xinjiang Uygurs,especially the impact on traditional costume culture and the construction of new "revolutionary" costume culture led by the concepts of "progress and revolution" and "anti-imperialist and anti-revisionist" under the revolutionary discourse.The chapter further discusses the interaction and interweaving between ethnic group and politics of Uygur costume culture in this period and its characteristics.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the diversified development trend of Xinjiang Uygur costume culture since the reform and opening-up,and analyzes the influence of major domestic and foreign events,such as the rampant activities of the "three forces" in Xinjiang,collapse of the Soviet Union,"9·11" event,on the Uyghur society and their specific manifestations in costume and costume culture in the context of rapid social and economic development.The chapter also discusses the new situation and new problems faced by the development of Uyghur costume culture and the trend of the development of Uyghur costume culture in Xinjiang under the condition of globalization.Based on a comprehensive and systematic summary on the development and evolution laws of Xinjiang Uygur costume culture,the fifth chapter focuses on the relationship among contemporary Uygur costume culture and cultural identity,ethnic identity,and even political identity and national identity,and illustrates the historical experience of the development and evolution of Uygur costume culture and its contemporary value and significance from the height of building the Chinese cultural community and community for Chinese nation.The conclusion part,focusing on the social stability in Xinjiang and the problems in Uygur cultural development,analyzes the status and function of
