| Border tourism is an important form of outbound tourism and domestic tourism,and it has a very positive effect on the socio-economic development and national defense security of border areas.This topic is based on the existing research results of border tourism,combined with the current new development trend of domestic border tourism,and discusses the sustainable development of border tourism from a macro and long-term perspective.The article systematically combs the concept of border tourism,introduces semiotics theory to interpret the phenomenon of border tourism,combs the development process and characteristics of border tourism at home and abroad,and comprehensively summarizes the characteristics,driving mechanisms and laws of border tourism development.On the basis of deepening the understanding of the phenomenon of border tourism,it realizes the deepening and expansion of the theoretical research on border tourism,and at the same time,it conducts empirical analysis with Yunnan Province as a typical case.This study organically integrates case analysis and theoretical interpretation,in order to provide intellectual support for the sustainable development of border tourism in Yunnan Province,and also provide a useful reference for the sustainable development of tourism in other Yanbian regions in China.The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical research and empirical research.The theoretical part(Chapters 1,2,and 3)combs and summarizes relevant research results at home and abroad in detail,starts with the relationship between borders and tourism,and summarizes the concept of border tourism.,Proposed the transformation of the research and understanding of border tourism from the early "cross-border tourism activities through ports" to "tourism in borderland"(tourism in borderland);based on this theory,a framework system for border tourism research was constructed,And then summarized the characteristics and driving mechanism of border tourism development from the theoretical level,summarized the 7 basic laws of border tourism development,and formed the theoretical foundation for the study of border tourism development in Yunnan Province.The empirical part(Chapters 4,5,and 6)comprehensively analyze and evaluate the development conditions of Yunnan border tourism,sort out the development history of border tourism in Yunnan Province,and compare the development of border tourism between China and Myanmar,China and Vietnam,and China and Laos;On this basis,the introduction of quantitative research methods,through spatial agglomeration index,tourism center of gravity and tourism market competition model analysis,explore the spatial and temporal evolution of the development of border tourism in Yunnan Province,analyze the actual problems in the development of border tourism in Yunnan,and then explore Yunnan Province The model and path selection of border tourism economic development.Through research,this article border security,funding,customs clearance,and products;2)Yunnan Border tourism has gone through 4 stages,namely the initial stage(1991-1993),the development stage(1994-2002),the intermittent downturn stage(2003-2010),and the comprehensive recovery and development stage(2011-present);3)On the whole,the development of border tourism in Yunnan Province is currently in a good momentum,and the process of facility construction is accelerating;support for border tourism development continues to increase,and cross-border cooperation is steadily advancing;tourism products are gradually enriched;the border tourism market continues to expand and its influence increases;The "One Belt,One Road" Initiative brings major opportunities,but there are hidden dangers in border tourism security;border tourism development is valued by all parties,but demand is cooling;border trade provides a strong driving force for border tourism development,but customs clearance is not smooth;border tourism development experience Rich accumulation,but facing fierce competition.It is foreseeable that the upgrading of border tourism products and the development of routes will become the focus of the
