The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship model raised by David Stodden about the children's fundamental movement skills and physical activity. It mainly includes four parts: In the first part,Bruininks-Osertsky test of motor proficiency is revised through the project analysis, factor analysis, internal consistency check and repeating the reliability test.In the second part, the children's fundamental movement skills, the characteristics of their physical activity and the influencing factors of demographic variables are analyzed using the method of measurement and questionnaire investigation. In the third part, the basic movement and the prediction of physical activity are tested through the correlation analysis and regression analysis. The physical self-esteem,body mass index and the mediation effect plus the adjustment effect of fundamental movement skills and physical activity are tested. In the fourth part, the effect is improved by introducing the fundamental movement skills as teaching contents and inspecting the basic movement skills and physical activity. Also, the fourth grade students are the subjects.Through the above study,we can draw the following main conclusions:The revised movement proficiency screening index avoids the occurrence of this phenomenon, and it has a good degree of differentiation and the validity for measuring the older children. The fundamental movement skills for the children is low,and the effects in the performance of demography variable aspects are: the fundamental skill level of boys is higher than that of girls;the level of fundamental movement skills gradually increase with age;the fundamental skill level of the obese children is lower than that of the normal children. The overall level of the physical activity of the children in Mudanjiang region is good, and it meets the requirements of the physical activity recommended by the world health organization. And the effects in demographic variables are: there is no difference between boys and girls to participate in physical activity;the time for participating in physical activity with age gradually reduces;the time for sitting quietly and doing less gradually increases with age;the physical activity energy expenditure of the obese children is greater than that of the normal children. Each test and the total score of the children fundamental movement skills has a certain relevance to the physical activity, and the relevance between the fundamental movement skills and physical activity for girls is more significantly related than boys, and girls are more dependent on the level of fundamental movement skills than boys when participating in physical activity. The children fundamental movement skills have a predicting effect on their participation in the physical activity. It embodies the movement skills in operation aspects have a better predicting effects on the physical activity. For boys: balance and coordination on both sides have a predicting effect on participation in the physical activity; For girls:good coordination of upper limbs has a predicting effect on participation in the physical activity. The children's basic movement skill level, the ability of physical self-awareness and the participation levels of their physical activity can predict their physical health level.Perceiving physical quality plays a regulating role in the coordination of upper limbs and the moderate and higher intensity of physical activity;Body mass index(BMI)plays an intermediary role in the coordination of upper limbs and the moderate and higher intensity of physical activity. The fundamental movement skills are introduced into school sports education as teaching contents,However,by raising the students fundamental movement skills to promote the physical activity participation hypothesis has not been confirmed.
