On The Study Of Quatrains In Poetry

For a long time, academic researchers have not paid due attention to Lun shi Jue ju, which, as an important component of traditional Chinese poem study, has been undervalued and underestimated. For a long time, there are not few Lun SJJ researchers, however, most of their works are short essays and are not systematic. The author writes this thesis with a hope to do some contribution in this research field.In the first chapter of this thesis, the author expatiates upon the originality, theoretic characteristics and classification of Lun SJJ. It is noticed that trends of intensifying self-consciousness about poem study and a tending to argumentation in poems are the two important factors stimulating the formation and development of LUNSS.The other parts of this thesis respectively expatiate on the development of LUNSS in Tan, Song, Jin, Yuan, Min and Qing Dynasty. In these parts, the author selects some famous poets, such as DuFu, Dai Fugu, Yuan Haowen,Lanmao, Xie Qikun, as representative, briefly discusses their theoretic opinion on LUSJJ. In the end of this thesis, common poem study theoretic views of LuSJJ in different dynasties have been summarized.Complete and systematic study on LSJJ clarifies the theories in poem study. It helps us understand better of ancient Chinese poets and their works; it also helps us more completely and thoroughly master the theories of poem study in different times by comparing the theoretic opinion on poem study of a certain poetic scholar with his equals in the same times.
