The Theoretical Study Of The Treatment Of Apoplexy From The Heart

This dissertation advances a view to treat apoplexy from the heart, and does a theoretical research by studying classical documents (the method of philology) on the basis of the clinical observations and practices.This paper studies the origin, meaning and development of the "Heart" definition in the system of the Traditional Chinese Medical, and then proposes the Author's opinion on the definition of the "Heart". The complete concept of the "Heart" consists of three parts: the organ Heart, the Heart Qi, and the Spirit/Mind of the Heart. By tracing the development on the relationship between the Heart and the Cerebrum, we have a systematic review on it at different ages. The structure of Chinese character of "?" ("think") indicates the earliest cognition of the relationship between the Heart and the Cerebrum.On the fields of viscera statement and meridian the Heart has very intimate relationship with the Brain. In the happening and development of apoplexy, the change of the Heart is also very close to the change of the Brain, which provides theoretical principle for the treatment of apoplexy from the Heart.Then, this paper is mainly focused on the theoretical foundation and evidences from five aspects:philology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, TCM recipe and acupuncturology, and therefore, explains the theoretical and the clinical significance.
