Nowadays, the rapid development of society, the level of social modernization is increasing, people’s lives are also changing, But the pressure is also growing, Now suffering from melancholia patients the ratio rose sharply, while the treatment theory mostly in soothe the liver and regulate spleen aspects, As early as Huang-di Nei-jing is said:"facilitating hepatic stagnation, fire stagnation requiring dissipation, gastro-stagnation requiring expelling therapy, drainage for pulmonary depression, regulating fluid stagnation" Enough to see all internal organs can make people depressed, not only in the liver and spleen, heart depression has a long story, But now there are few theoretical studies on the heart depression, which is the deficiency of the theoretical research on depression, From the history of heart depression, etiology and pathogenesis, therapeutic principle and methods, selection of drugs and other aspects of the research are summarized, And the patient’s system and easy to send a simple analysis of the relationship between the hope that we can draw on the experience of these effective dialectical treatment, inspired by the idea of medical workers.Early in Qin and Han Dynasty, Chinese tranditional medicine in the concept of " heart depression " has been a prototype, There is a clear understanding of the emotional factors, first by the heart began to hurt during Sui and Tang Song period. The understanding of the treatment of heart depression has great development in Jin and yuan Dynasties In Ming and Qing Dynasties, the name of heart depression was officially put forward, and the theory of heart depression was more perfect. Heart depression is a kind of disease which the main clinical features is in depression, feel down or emotion restless, shortness of breath, forgetfulness, palpitate of fear, palpitation. Etiology and pathogenesis of heart depression is due to exogenous six excesses, internal injuries caused by seven emotions, stagnation of qi-blood due to disease, because of drug into depression, voxel volume deficiency which caused the viscera and bowels function disorder, deficiency of Qi and blood, resulting in heart malnutrition; or blood stasis, phlegm, fire, dampness etc. stagnant qi movement, resulting in heart qi depression and heart malnutrition. Heart depression therapeutic principlen is based on the correlation of all four examinations, treating disease from the root, reinforcing the healthy qi and eliminating the pathogenic both, and climate-concerned treatment, environment-concerned treatment, individuality-concerned treatment. The method of treatment is to nourish the heart to tranquilize and relieve heart depression first, and taking into account the regulating qi and activating blood, dispelling dampness and resolving phlegm, clearing heat and so on. And if multiple viscera and bowels involved, regulate them together, working in with acupuncture treatment and mind-cure. Medication of heart depression, At the initial stages of the disease we could choice the medicine of pungent-fragrant dryness-heat to regulate qi and relieve heart depression, if heart depression for a long time, we need choice the medicine which bitter-pungent cool-moist to diffuse through, must not use pungent and dryness help fire; Choice the medicine which nourish the heart to tranquilize and come in heart menstruation, if multiple viscera and bowels involved, disease cause syndrome differentiation; using the compatibility medicine, heal with dual cool and heat.treat with both elimination and reinforcement. Different constitution which the susceptibility and recidivity of the heart depression is also different, and people who is spoony and women are susceptible to the heart depression disease.
