| Chronic kidney disease(CKD)is common in cats,the prevalence and mortality rates are higher,as well as the current treatment method is single,the efficiency is not high.This research aimes at investigating the feature and clinical signs of CKD and researching effect of several therapy methords such as Chinese herbs to feline CKD.Because of its higher prevalence and mortality rates,the research tries to find some much more helpful approaches to improve the therapy effect of CKD.Through analyzing the statics of 24215 cases of 60 animal hospitals in Liao Ning regions from year2009-2018,the number of cats diagnosed with CKD is 1173.The statistic on the percentage that cats with CKD every year has shown an increased trend year by year.the breed of cat such as British shorthair,domestic and American shorthair has the highest morbidities and accounts for 30%(320/1173),18%(215/1173)and 17%(200/1173);prevalence rate is 8.8% ranged from 0-4 years and 37% ranged form older than 14 years,prevalence rate is closely related to age,older cats have a higher prevalence rate;postrenal obstruction and unknown reason accounts for 39%(559/1173)and 34%(401/1173)respectively;The toppest clinical signs are weight loss,polyuria and account for86.7%(1016/1173),60.1%(706/1173).To analyze the relationship between blood index and Traditional Chinese Veterianry Medicine Pattern of 32 Patients and to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of formula CK1 treating the CKD patients in early and mid phase.concentration of serum creatinine,phpphorus and value of blood pressure were increaced and anemia was most serious in symptom style of the kidney Yang deficiency,concentration of serum creatinine,phpphorus and value of blood pressure were increaced a little and the increase of anemia was smallest in the kidney Qi deficiency.blood index and different Pattern in Traditional Chinese Veterianry Medicine are connected with each other,this relationship can be a basis for pattern identification.Chinese herbs therapy is effective in decreasing the biochemical index,improvement in the anemia and hypertension and score of clinical signs and the life quality.formula CK1 has the best therapeutic effects on the kidney Qi deficiency and Spleen kidney Qi deficiency,the treatment effective rate is 100%(11/11)and 88.8%(7/9)respectively.The research reveals that formula CK1 can improve the cats' renal function and clinical signs suffered from early and mid chronic kidney disease.Through researching the therapeutic effects of formula CK1 and acupuncture treating the 30 CKD patients in early and mid phase,the results reveal that the biochemical index of A group(group herbal medicine)has remarkable difference in serum creatinine and glomerular filtration rate(P<0.01),difference in hematocrit and urine protein to creatinine ratio after the treatment(P<0.05),A group has an obvious improvement on biochemical index of kidney function and anemia;Biochemical index of B group(group acupuncture)has remarkable difference in serum creatinine and glomerular filtration rate after the treatment(P<0.01),difference in hematocrit(P<0.05)after the treatment.B group has an obvious improvement on biochemical index of kidney function and anemia.The decrease of glomerular filtration rate in group A was greater than that in group B(P<0.01).The total score of the two groups decreased after treatment.The improvement of total score in group A was better than that in group B(P<0.05).The effective rate of A and B group is 86.6% and 73.3% respectively.The therapeutic effect of group A was better than that of group B.The research reveals that formula CK1 and acupuncture can improve the patients' renal function and clinical signs suffered from early and mid chronic kidney disease.To describe the complications of 20 cats undergoing PD for CKD and to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects of formula CK1 and peritoneal dialysis(PD)treating the CKD patients.the complications of cats undergoing PD include subcutaneous edema 20%(4/20)and hypoproteinemia35%(7/20),etc.the results reveal that the laboratory values of C and D group have remarkable difference after treatment.GFR,ALB and Hb concentrations in group C were higher than those in group D(P<0.05).The effective rate of group C and D was 70% and 50% respectively.The research shows that formula CK1 combined with PD can improve the patients' renal function and clinical signs that suffered from serious chronic kidney disease.Chinese herbs has a good therapeutic effect and protective effect on RRF in the later stage of CKD.In brief,The survey found that the incidence of cat in CKD was related to many factors and the incidence rate of cat in CKD increased year by year in Liaoning region.Biochemical indicators are beneficial to the pattern identification of cats in CKD of Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine,and formula CK1 can reduce biochemical index and improve clinical signs of cats in CKD.Acupuncture can reduce biochemical index and improve clinical signs of cats in CKD,The therapeutic effect of formula CK1 combined with acupuncture is better than the effect of acupuncture.The peritoneal dialysis can reduce biochemical index and improve clinical signs of cats in CKD obviously,The therapeutic effect of formula CK1 combined with peritoneal dialysis is better than the effect of peritoneal dialysis. |
