Study On The Impact Of Climate Change On Tourism

Climate change has led to frequent occurrences of extreme weather and climate events around the world.As one of the typical highly meteorologically sensitive industries,the impact of climate change on tourism is becoming increasingly prominent.This article cuts into the related research of tourism development from the perspective of climate change impact,takes Nanjing tourism as the research object,mainly discusses the impact of climate change impact factors on tourism,and proposes three extreme weather types that affect tourism This paper proposes three ways for tourism to cope with extreme weather,and realizes the connection between quantitative analysis of climate change and qualitative induction of tourism management.This paper also builds a five-dimensional green tourism evaluation index system including tourism,climate,environment,economic and social indicators,which provides an effective attempt to analyze the impact of climate change on tourism,and provides a useful reference for related research.(1)Studies based on gray theory show that temperature changes have the greatest impact on the tourism industry in Nanjing,followed by changes in wind speed,changes in precipitation again,and changes in relative humidity the smallest.The gray correlations between the temperature,wind speed,precipitation,relative humidity changes and the tourism revenue series curve are 0.97,0.97,0.52,0.76,and the gray correlations with the tourism industry number series curve are 0.93,0.99,0.60,0.74.On the other hand,Aafter excluding holidays,there is a cointegration relationship between the human comfort index and the number of tourists.The human body comfort index has a positive effect on the number of tourists,confirming that the tourism industry is a highly meteorologically sensitive industry.(2)Extreme weather can be divided into three types: "will not go" extreme weather,"can't go" extreme weather,"dare not go" extreme weather.It is pointed out that "unwilling to go" extreme weather mainly affects human comfort,"unable to go" extreme weather mainly affects tourism traffic,and "dare not to go" extreme weather belongs to severe extreme weather that easily leads to meteorological disasters and their derivatives.Landscapes,tourist facilities and tourists have devastating effects.(3)Using the energy consumption method to measure the carbon emissions of Nanjing's tourism industry,it was found that the total amount of carbon emissions from tourism in Nanjing showed a gradual upward trend from 2006 to 2014.It was 5,697,200 tons per year,with an average annual growth rate of 15.32%.At the same time,the carbon emissions of tourism-related industries in Nanjing also showed a gradual upward trend.Among them,the carbon emissions of tourism in Nanjing are mainly driven by the carbon emissions of tourism in transportation,warehousing and post and telecommunications industries,and its proportion in the total carbon emissions of tourism in Nanjing still shows a rising trend.(4)This paper constructed a five-dimensional green tourism evaluation index system including tourism,climate,environment,economic and social indexes,and used the combined weighting method to calculate the index weights,and conducted a vertical and horizontal evaluation of the "greenness" of Nanjing tourism.The longitudinal evaluation found that the comprehensive level of green tourism in Nanjing 's tourism industry continued to increase from 2006 to 2016,and the comprehensive index rose sharply from 0.17 in 2006 to 0.82 in2016;The comprehensive development ranks 16 th,ranking in the upper middle level.Based on the "greenness" evaluation results of Nanjing's tourism industry,the development of green tourism in Nanjing needs to be carried out simultaneously from the following five aspects:cultivating green ideas,implementing green standards,implementing green development,producing green products,and carrying out green operations.
