The Fran(?)ois'langur(Trachypithecus francoisi)is one of the rare and endangered primate's endemic to Asia that inhabits karst mountain areas. It is estimated that Fran(?)ois'langur has a population of about 2,000 individuals. The Mayanghe National Nature Reserve has the largest population of wild langurs in the world, with the population of500 to 600 individuals. The study based on the presence data,DEM layer, land cover layer and habitat survey,ArcGIS,Fragstats,Spatial Distribution Model(SAR),MaxEnt Model and Graphab were used to study the space utilization pattern and habitat evaluation. The main results as follows:The langurs preferred elevation lower than 800m,slope is greater than 30°,distance to river less than 600m,distance to the nearest road was greater than 900m,distance to the nearest settlement was greater than 1200m,distance to the nearest cultivated land was greater than 900m,the vegetation type was shrub and broad-leaf forest.According to the RSF models, the full model including elevation, slop, distance to river, distance to road, vegetation type, tree diameter at breast height and shrubs base diameter. The total range of the langurs in Mayanghe Nature Reserve was 68.87 km2,accounting for 22.14%of the total area of the reserve.Although the maximum slope utilised ranges from 20°to 30°,20.99 km2 and accounting for 30.56%of the total utilised area. However, their utilization rate increased with the increase of slope. The slope>60°has the highest utilization rate, reaching 85.71%.The reserve was seriously disturbed, the main disturbance type were roads, farmland and settlement. The distribution density of the langurs was significantly positively correlated with the distance to road due to human disturbance Road effect zone was estimated to be 1400m.The suitable habitat of the reserve was 60.95km2,accounting for 19.58%of the total area of the reserve.36.29 km2 located in the core area and 24.66 km2 located in the buffer zone and experimental area.Distance to the river, elevation and slope contributed the most to the model prediction. The landscape connectivity index(PC)of the reserve was9.8×10-4,and the landscape connectivity is poor.
