Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions and experiences of industry leaders and government officials regarding Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Ivory Coast. Particularly, the study aims to determine which skills would contribute to reducing youth unemployment and promoting economic growth. Financing options were also evaluated. Investment in the success of the youth of a nation is essential not only to increase the economy to satisfy short-term goals but to continue economic growth. The study found that the most important educational areas are agriculture, accounting, and computer literacy.
