Research On Shenzhen Higher Education’s Contribution To Regional Economic Growth

Shenzhen has grown from a small fishing village to an international metropolis because of economic reform and open up and foreign trade.However,as the national economic center,shenzhen’s higher education level lags behind its economic level.At present,shenzhen is committed to be an international,innovative and modern city.In order to realize this great vision,shenzhen needs large-scale innovative high-quality first-class talents and high-level higher education.This study takes shenzhen’s higher education level and shenzhen’s economic growth as the research object,and takes human capital theory and new economic growth theory as the theoretical basis.Based on the domestic and foreign research results on the relationship,collected a large number of data and analysis,combined with the method of literature analysis method,econometric analysis and survey analysis method.The theoretical model of the contribution of higher education to regional economy is based on the traditional cobb-douglas production function and combined with the theory of human capital.According to a 1991-2017 time series data of 27 years in shenzhen city,the calculation analysis of the higher education of shenzhen for the contribution of regional economic growth and higher education to the regional economic growth contribution degree of shenzhen and puts forward corresponding Suggestions.This paper calculates and analyzes the contribution of higher education in shenzhen to regional economic growth based on the time series data of shenzhen from 1991 to 2017,which indicates the contribution of higher education in shenzhen to regional economic growth,and make corresponding suggestions.It is found that the contribution of higher education to shenzhen’s economic development is low.Based on the new economic growth theory,this study in higher education to regional economic impact mechanism under the framework of the conclusion,that higher education to regional economic reasons for the low contribution of shenzhen is mainly due to the economic function of higher education,the lag and shenzhen history of higher education is lower,however,the history of higher education in shenzhen is relatively low.The higher education level of shenzhen city is relatively backward compared with the first-tier cities with developed economy in Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou,which is far from enough to match the economic development of shenzhen city’s demand for higher education.In addition,the talent attraction of shenzhen hides the deficiency of the development of higher education in shenzhen.The unsuitability between higher education and regional industrial structure is not optimized with the structure of higher education in shenzhen.Therefore,this study proposes relevant Suggestions for shenzhen to improve the contribution of higher education to regional economic growth.Shenzhen will transform the driving force of regional economic growth and the mode of regional economic growth,so as to realize the transformation from material-oriented to human-oriented,and form a new trend of economic development with human capital as the core and lasting driving force.It is necessary to continue to expand the scale of higher education in shenzhen city.Knowledge accumulation is the internal driving force of economic growth and provides the power of continuous regeneration.Special knowledge and specialized human capital are important factors of economic growth,which can guarantee the whole economic growth.Increasing the number of full-time teachers in colleges and universities in shenzhen and reducing the ratio of teachers to students in colleges and universities in shenzhen have good effects on improving teachers’ scientific research ability,improving teaching effect and promoting economic growth.Adjusting the internal structure of higher education in shenzhen to the industrial structure,according to the demand of the regional economic market for talents,the higher education disciplines and majors should be adjusted and set up in a reasonable way to create a number of key disciplines with shenzhen characteristics,enhance the strength of higher education in shenzhen,and make higher education better serve the society.Finally,it is necessary to improve the measures for shenzhen to introduce high-end talents,attract talents with strong economic strength,retain talents in a relaxed social environment,make good use of talents with advanced scientific research platforms,and seize the talent market,so as to improve the contribution of higher education in shenzhen to regional economic growth.
