Abstract/Summary:
A comparison of scalar and velocity microturbulence measurements obtained from in situ sensors mounted on a tower and from a Doppler radar/wind profiler is described. The signal-to-noise ratios taken from the Doppler velocity spectra measured by the radar are compared to values of the refractive index structure function parameter, ;An experimental and theoretical analysis of the time and space filters that are applied to radar measurements of velocity turbulence is given.
