Abstract/Summary:
In order for a vaccine to have a significant public health impact it needs to be effective, available, safe and accepted. Based on this assessment, the efficacy, availability and acceptance of the influenza vaccine must be substantially improved to have a significant public health impact in terms of morbidity and mortality reductions.
