Abstract/Summary:
The Enhanced Digital Power System Simulator was designed as an education and training tool for the power industry, specifically for the Athens Training Center owned and operated by TU Electric of Texas. Subsequent to the original two versions (the All-Digital and Singer-Link version), two other versions were created, one as a research tool and the other as a teaching tool for use in a university setting.; This document describes the original two versions of the Digital Power System Simulator (DPSS). The description of these versions is combined. To minimize the potential confusion wrought by describing the versions together, the All-Digital version is taken as the canonical version of the simulator. Indeed, most of the features in the All-Digital version are contained within the Singer-Link version. Hence, in general, the discussion pertains to both versions. Where additional (or variant) features are involved, the discussion will specify which version is under consideration.
