Abstract/Summary:
The Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD) has become a beacon for digital learning. MGSD shares what administrators, teachers, and students have learned through the implementation of the digital conversion by opening their doors to other schools throughout the country. MGSD has experienced a growth in student achievement since the faculty and students began receiving their laptops in 2008.;The significance of the study is to look at how the digital conversion has changed the teacher use of data to drive instruction, resulting in increased student achievement. Many districts in the country are visiting and asking MGSD for consultations and assistance in implementing their own digital conversion. This is a result of the MGSD's increase in student achievement. The increase is not a result of the machine. It is the belief that it is due to the teachers' use of data collected from the machine that has changed their instruction, resulting in increased academic achievement.
