| This dissertation is a collection of sixty-five pages of original poetry. The poems in this collection reflect the poet's interest in playing with language, invention, and a variety of approaches and forms. The majority of the poems are a combination of the lyric and the narrative. Many of the poems are written in form such as sonnet, pantoum, and sestina; many are free verse, and a few are experimental. |
