Fiber telecommunications and its impact in today's economy

Abstract/Summary:
Fiber optics technology has been used in telecommunication connecting major cities network. Since 2001, its implementation moved to consumers across USA and across the world for telecommunication products and services such as high-speed broadband services. Hence, it has a major impact on the economy. This praxis gives an introduction for fiber telecommunication, its technical evolution and how it has impacted the economy. To understand fiber telecommunication better, an illustration of comparison between fiber services and other available solutions has been introduced. Since fiber telecommunication for consumer is a new solution, this work has covered the technical and financial risks associated with it. Also, new processes and support methodology has been introduced and further analyzed by a case study.
