| This paper explored the correlation between the level of burnout in working professionals and the satisfaction/dissatisfaction they experience within their marital relationships. It is often noted in the professional literature how different spheres of life spill over into one another but there is little research that validates this as empirically true. This project utilized the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey, The Dyadic Adjustment Scale, as well as an author created demographic survey. The data was analyzed to determine if there was a statistically significant correlation between levels of burnout and marital satisfaction. Indeed, the findings suggested that there is a positive relationship between job burnout and marital satisfaction. |
