Primary Care services in the Veteran Health Administration are appraised by the External Peer Review Program in accordance with outpatient clinical care performance measures. In the Veterans' Hospital located in Southern Nevada, the performance score for colon cancer screening and prevention for 2016 was determined to be 72.25%, which is far below the benchmark of 85%. This project purpose was to determine to what degree a relationship exists between the providers' performance score improvement intended to meet the benchmark for compliance in colorectal cancer screening and documented screenings. Trans-theoretical model and Learning discovery model were included considering behavior changes and learning were significant for the accomplishment of this project. The clinical question was fixated on the probability outcome of improvement in the clinical compliance of performing colorectal cancer screening by the 11 participating providers. The sample was 70 health records of veterans ages 50 to 75 seen by the 11 providers before and after the project was initiated were reviewed retrospectively for positive documentation of colorectal cancer screening. The quantitative methodology and correlative design was selected for this project. The statistical data analysis used was the Chi-square test resulting to value of .0062 and p value = .931793 and t-test wherein t value was 0.56 with p value of 0.59. These results were not significant at (p < .05). Based on the statistical findings, there was no significant relationship existed between the providers' compliance performance and the required performance measures for colorectal cancer screening.
