The digital economy with digital knowledge and information as critical factors of production begins to undergo qualitative change from quantitative change. As a result of the cross-border integration of "cultural creativity + information and communication technology," the digital content industry is gradually becoming a new engine for economic recovery in China and even the global "post-international financial crisis" era.In recent years, due to the implementation of the "Internet China" and "Digital China" strategies,China’s digital content industry as a whole has shown a favorable development trend.Digital video and audio, online games, digital publishing, and mobile content have increased, and the degree of internationalization has gradually deepened. It has become a significant country in the world’s digital content industry. However, compared with the digital content industry powers such as the United States,Europe, and Japan, the international competitiveness of China’s digital content industry is still in a weak position on the overall level, and the level of internationalization needs to be further improved.Under the current global digital background,China’s digital content industry is facing fierce competition. How to correctly evaluate and reasonably analyze the current international competitiveness level of China’s digital content industry and its position in the global digital content industry pattern and clarify the existence of China and developed countries. The gaps and deficiencies, and the targeted development of the international competitiveness of China’s digital content industry are the key issues that need to be resolved. This article takes the development of the digital content industry in the era of the digital economy as the research background. It uses research methods such as questionnaire surveys, expert interviews, and gray relations to explore the content and classification system of the digital content industry.Meanwhile, this article elaborates on the research status of the international competitiveness of the digital content industry at home and abroad. It analyzes the theoretical basis of the global competitiveness of the digital content industry. This article focuses on the development and status of global and Chinese digital content industry, the position of the Chinesedigital content industry in the global digital content industry structure is analyzed, and the life cycle stage of the Chinese digital content industry is judged.Based on the above basic theoretical research and current situation analysis, the conceptual analysis framework for the international competitiveness of the digital content industry is determined. The idea of the analytic hierarchy process is used to construct a target that includes one goal, four systems,14 elements, and 50 indicators Index system for evaluating the international competitiveness of China’s digital content industry. Finally,an evaluation model was constructed based on the grey correlation analysis method, and through data collection and sorting.G20 countries were selected as the sample inspection objects. The eight years from 2010 to 2017 was selected as the inspection stage to achieve the international competitiveness of the Chinese digital content industry Horizontal comprehensive evaluation. The empirical results show that although China’s digital content industry has developed rapidly with the rapid development of the digital economy in recent years, its international competitiveness has demonstrated a trend of significantly increasing. However, compared with the digital content industry powers such as the United States and the United Kingdom,China remains in the global digital content industry competition.Being in a disadvantaged class,China ranks 7th among the G20 countries and is in the third gradient overall. At the same time,it is found that the number of China’s disadvantage indicators is far greater than the advantage indicators, especially in terms of product strength, corporate strategy, related industries, industrial structure, industrial infrastructure, government policies, and market opening. The key factors are restricting the international competitiveness of China’s digital content industry.Taking the empirical results as a reference, drawing on the development models of the digital content industry in the United States,Britain,Japan, and South Korea, the international competitiveness of the digital content industry has been formulated from the government level, industry association level, and enterprise level. As a macro planner of the digital content industry, the government must strengthen the superior strategic design and scientifically plan the industrial layout. The government also regulates the industrial development order and optimize the industrial development environment.Apart from that, the government increases guidance and support, which improves the industrial policy system and promote cross-border integration and development. To build a collaborative industrial cluster, the government must comprehensively deepen reform and opening up,which cultivate high-end international enterprises. The government improves digital infrastructure and promote the development of the digital economy; As an intermediary for communicating digital content companies with the state, industry associations must play the role of advocating industry policies and promote the rapid development of the industry. They must also play the role of industry self-discipline and maintain the order of industrial development. They must also play the role of resource integration, improve the efficiency of resource allocation, and play communication Function, perfect bridge ties.As the micro-enterprise of the digital content industry operation, enterprises must promote continuous innovation to support the overall industrial upgrading.Enterprises should improve their management level so as to promote their scientific development.Enterprises should actively participate in international competition and continually develop global markets. Also, enterprises should encourage the upgrading of factors to form a dynamic competitive advantage. |
