Research On The Decision Behavior Of Farmers' Specialized Integrated Control In Southern Rice-growing Areas

Food is the basis for the existence and development of human society.Rice is the largest crop with the largest planting area,the highest yield per unit and the largest total yield in the southern region.Its production is not only related to the increase of farmers' income,but also to the national food stability and security.Disease and pest control is the link with the highest technical content,the highest labor intensity,the most labor and the greatest risk coefficient in rice production process.However,with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,a large number of young and middle-aged rural labor force poured into the city for work and business,and most of them were women and the elderly who remained in rural areas to engage in agricultural production.Such agricultural production subjects not only had low education level,but also had poor awareness of ecological environment protection,and lacked the knowledge needed for pest control and prevention.Technology,its pest control efficiency is low,the effect is poor.Especially under the influence of the continuous renewal of rice varieties and pesticide varieties and abnormal climate,the types,populations and occurrence regularity of rice pests and diseases have changed greatly,and the occurrence of pests and diseases has become increasingly serious and complicated,and the pressure of prevention and control has become greater and greater.Therefore,pest control has become a major problem in agricultural production.As an organization and service mode of pest control,rice specialized integrated control provides an effective way to solve the above problems,and is an important link in the transformation from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture.As an important rice production area in China,the Southern Rice-growing Areas bears the important responsibility of ensuring national food security.This paper investigates the rice farmers in Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone,a typical rice-growing area in Southern Rice-growing Areas,and on the basis of analyzing the current situation of pest control in Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone,a comprehensive application of multiple empirical analysis methods was carried out to analyze the willingness of rice growers to adopt specialized unified control and its influencing factors,adoption behavior and its influencing factors,as well as the influencing factors of the difference between adoption willingness and adoption behavior.The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the adoption willingness and its influencing factors of farmers' specialized unified control : 71% of farmers have the willingness to adopt it;these nine factors,such as gender,age,educational level,rice planting area,rice planting years,knowledge of specialized integrated control,whether they have participated in the training of the specialized unified control,pesticide's influence on health and pesticide's influence on environment,have significant effects on the willingness to adopt specialized unified control;Men,the younger age,the higher education level,the larger rice planting area,the longer rice planting years,the higher understanding of the adoption of specialized unified control,farmers who have participated in specialized unified control training and think that the greater the impact of pesticides on health and environment,the stronger the willingness to adopt specialized unified control.Secondly,the adoption behavior and its influencing factors of farmers' specialized unified control: 38.7% of farmers adopted specialized unified defense rule;the educational level of heads of households,the number of farmers,rice planting area,the understanding of specialized unified control,whether they have participated in training of specialized unified control,the recognition of pesticide impact on health,the recognition of pesticide impact on the environment have significant positive effects on farmers' adoption behavior of specialized unified control;the higher education level,the fewer farmers,the larger rice planting area,the better understanding of the rule of specialized unified control,participated in the training of specialized unified control,and considered the impact of pesticides on health and environment,the bigger the peasant households are,the more they will adopt the specialized unified control.Thirdly,among 491 households with willingness to adopt,45.4% of them had different willingness to adopt and behavior to adopt;among them,the educational level of household heads,the number of farmers,rice planting area,their understanding of specialized unified control,whether they have participated in training of specialized unified control,the recognition of pesticide impact on health,the recognition of pesticide impact on the environment have significant negative effects on the difference of the adoption willingness and behavior of the farmers.The lower the educational level of household heads,the fewer farmers,the smaller the rice planting area,the more ignorant they are of the specialized unified control,the less they have participated in the training of the specialized unified control,and think that the smaller the impact of pesticides on health and environment,the greater the difference between the adoption willingness and behavior of specialized unified control.Based on the above conclusions,this paper holds that:(1)Strengthen the propaganda of specialized unified defense rule.(2)increase the importance and support for education and improve the vocational training system for land lost farmers.(3)Actively promote the circulation of land and realize the large-scale management of land.(4)Strengthen the training of peasants in the rule of specialized unified defense.(5)Strengthen the close relationship between farmers and the specialized staff of unified defense.(6)Promoting the healthy development of specialized prevention and control organizations.We will promote the introduction of policy-based agricultural insurance for rice outbreaks of diseases and pests,and encourage specialized prevention and control organizations to purchase commercial insurance such as personal accidents for air defense personnel,and increase funding support for specialized prevention and control organizations.
