With the promulgation and implementation of the Law of Farmer Cooperatives of the People's Republic of China, farmer cooperatives have been guaranteed by law and policy, which have played an active role in promoting cooperatives standardized operation and rapid development.Firstly, the speed of the cooperatives development has been speeded up and the number of the cooperatives has risen sharply.By the end of September 2017,the registration of farmer cooperatives amounted to 196.9 million and farmers more than 100 million.Secondly, the business scope and coverage of cooperatives continue to expand, covering all stages of agricultural production.Thirdly, the development quality of cooperatives has improved continuously, and they also have accumulated a little valuable experience and explored many new directions. However, with the degree of market competing and internationalization deepening, farmer cooperatives have also exposed a lot of problems, including small scale, unstandardized operation, low efficiency and so on.These problems lead to the disadvantaged position of farmer cooperatives in the supply chain of agricultural products. It is difficult to effectively exert their organizational advantages and socioeconomic functions. In the agricultural supply chain, performance optimization has become a bottleneck of to promote the sustainable and healthy development of farmer cooperatives. Therefore, researching the performance optimization of farmer cooperatives based on the perspective of agricultural supply chain, can grasp the key constraints and solutions for the development of farmer cooperatives, and to provide theoretical basis and practical support for farmer cooperatives increasing revenue. This topic is of great theoretical significance and application value.Based on the realistic background of farmer cooperatives developing in China, this paper takes the theory of transaction cost theory, performance evaluation theory and supply chain management theory as the theoretical basis, also combining qualitative analysis with quantitative research. This paper uses system dynamics method and computer simulation to evaluate the performance of farmer cooperatives and analyze their influencing factors, the purpose of putting forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The theoretical analysis of farmer cooperatives as producers and suppliers to blend in the agricultural supply chain coordinationbased on the perspective of supply chain. To study the main structure, driving factors, supply chain activity and relationship of farmer cooperatives blend in theagricultural supply chaincoordination.(2)Evaluating the performance of farmer cooperatives in the supply chain and analyzing the influencing factors.Firstly, the field survey method was used to interview the farmer cooperatives. The study found that the performance of farmer cooperatives which actively participated in the supply chain was significantly higher than passive participation;Secondly, building the system dynamics model of the two levels agricultural supply chain, research shows that the performance of farmer cooperatives is lower than that of wholesalers, and the performance gap is widening. It is proved that information sharing, inventory management and interest coordination are affecting the performance optimization of farmer cooperatives in the agricultural supply chain.(3)The system dynamics model of agricultural supply chain is set up based on the traditional inventory management model, the Vendor Managed Inventory coordination strategy and the coordination strategy of the Jointly Managed Inventory. The simulation results of Vensim software show that, under the situation of random distribution and pulse distribution of market demand, the profit of farmer cooperatives, retailers and the total supply chain under the coordination strategy of Vendor Managed Inventory and the coordination strategy of Jointly Managed Inventory are higher than that of the traditional inventory management model.(4)The coordination strategy of five different proportion of income sharing is made and uses Vensim software to simulate. The study found that in traditional inventory mode, the profit of farmer cooperatives in the agricultural supply chain is lower than that of wholesalers. The model obtains the best share of income sharing, and can achieve mutual benefit and win-win between farmer cooperatives and agricultural wholesalers. In this study, the reasonable range of income sharing ratio between farmer cooperatives and agricultural wholesalers is 0.3-0.5.(5)On the basis of supplier management inventory coordination strategy, joint inventory management coordination strategy and income sharing coordination strategy, proposing countermeasures to promote the performance optimization of farmer professional cooperatives.
