With the advent of the global value chain era,the separation of production processes and the formation of borderless production systems reflect the relationship between vertical industrial separation and global spatial redistribution.Under the background of global value chain,the product competition of enterprises evolves into the competition of value chain.China as beneficiaries of active integration into the global value chain,using their own endowment advantage to promote the upgrading of economic structure,but the process of China's manufacturing industry into the global value chain has obvious characteristics of "prior to improve the ability of appreciation in value chain",the "inverse" era of globalization,in the value chain of low-end position the drawbacks of the exposed more obvious,shift up the value chain position becomes urgent.China's mobile phone industry is highly integrated with the global value chain.Behind its vigorous development,China's mobile phone industry is still locked in the lower part of the value chain and stepping into the growth trap.How to comprehensively improve the position of China's mobile phone industry value chain is a research topic worthy of in-depth discussion.This article embarks from the emerging phenomenon that the China mobile phone industry value chain,the overall research target is system of value chain and mobile phone industry at home and abroad related theoretical basis and development trends,and comprehensive analysis of the China mobile phone industry development present situation and characteristics of the global value chain,on the basis of to explore the spatial pattern of China's mobile phone industry value chain,space transfer and location selection problem.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Theories related to value chain and mobile phone industry and research progress at home and abroad.Firstly,Chinese and foreign literatures related to global value chain are quantitatively analyzed with CiteSpace knowledge mapping software,and knowledge picture analysis of value chain is conducted to sort out and summarize research hotspots.Based on the existing literature,the development context and core contents of the value chain are sorted out,including the governance and upgrading of the value chain.The research progress of the mobile phone industry at home and abroad is analyzed.Finally,the research status of the mobile phone industry to be studied is discussed and a theoretical analysis framework is constructed.(2)Evolution of Mobile Phone Industry in China and the WorldThrough the analysis of the development status of the global mobile phone industry,it is found that the global mobile phone sales volume increases generally but the growth rate slows down,and smart phones become the main body of production and consumption.The global mobile phone market is monopolized by a few brands,and the oligopoly pattern is obvious.Emerging markets such as Southeast Asia have become new growth areas for mobile phone consumption.The global mobile phone industry has undergone drastic changes,and enterprise competition has evolved into value chain competition.The global mobile phone industry value chain has experienced the initial stage of regional distribution,the stage of global distribution of production and the stage of global distribution of value chain.The type of value chain driving develops from producer driving to buyer driving to comprehensive driving,and the governance mode changes from hierarchical governance mode to modular governance mode and finally to network governance mode.China's mobile phone industry has experienced four stages: the embryonic stage,the incubation stage,the growth stage and the high-speed development stage.The development and improvement of China's mobile phone industry value chain benefits from its full integration into the global value chain.In the early stage,mobile phones were simply assembled under the governance of global value chain,but with the accumulation of technology and the expansion of domestic market,various links were gradually developed and cultivated,and local mobile phone enterprises with strength emerged.From policy protection to market competition,the use of modular technology embedded shanzhai mobile phone experienced a temporary boom and demise,the growth of several representative domestic mobile phone brands.With the competition of technology homogenization and the saturation of the market,the development mode of mobile phone driven by the market has been transformed into a technology-driven mode.China's mobile phone industry has upgraded from process to product.With the containment of the international market and the saturation of the domestic market,it is urgent to upgrade the value chain.(3)The spatial and temporal pattern of China's mobile phone industry value chainsThrough big data mining,"China mobile phone industry value chain database" was constructed.By using spatial Gini coefficient,global autocorrelation model and local spatial autocorrelation model,ArcGIS and GeoDa software were used to discuss and study the development characteristics,spatial differentiation,spatial clustering and spatial correlation of China urban mobile phone industry value chain.The study found that from 1988 to 2017,all links of the value chain of China's mobile phone industry experienced rapid growth,especially in the past 10 years,with a rapid growth rate.On the whole,China's mobile phone industry value chain research and development,production enterprises have significant characteristics of spatial polarization,spatial imbalance phenomenon is obvious.Sales enterprises from the polarization to optimize balanced development,the space gap is narrowing.The research,development,production and sales links of the value chain of China's mobile phone industry have generally experienced the expansion from the coastal to the inland,and the dynamic pattern of point-line-surface space has basically covered the areas east of the "Hu Huan Yong" line.The spatial agglomeration pattern of the Pearl River delta,Yangtze River delta,Tianjin,Beijing,Hebei and chengdu-chongqing areas has begun to emerge.With the development of time,China's mobile phone industry value chain research and development,production,sales of the spatial correlation is increasingly significant,the city is increasingly close,and the spatial spillover effect is gradually strengthened.(4)Spatial transfer of China's mobile phone industry value chainsBy constructing "China mobile phone industry value chain database" as the data source,taking the newly added mobile phone enterprises as the research object,using the proportion of added value to calculate the industrial transfer coefficient,and analyzing the evolution of the spatial distribution pattern of the newly added links from the perspective of cities.On the whole,sales enterprises increase the proportion of the largest.Seen from the seven links of mobile phone value chain,the increase proportion of brick-and-mortar sales enterprises is the largest.And the Yangtze River delta,Pearl River delta,jing-jin-ji and chengdu-chongqing regional pattern system gradually prominent.From the perspective of the four regions,the eastern region has the highest degree of transfer,and large-scale transfer of different links occurs alternately in different periods,among which the hardware R&D enterprises have the highest degree of transfer.From the perspective of transfer trend,it basically conforms to the gradient transfer pattern in the eastern and western regions,but it is worth noting that the transfer trend of different links is different in different times,and the transfer speed and cycle have obvious differences.From the perspective of eight regions,the transfer degree of the eastern coastal areas is the highest,and the three coastal areas of R&D and production links in different periods of large-scale transfer;in other regions such as southwest and northwest,there is no large-scale transfer of each link,and the mobile phone value chain is not complete.From 1988 to 2017,China's mobile phone industry value chain has relatively spatial transfer,and large-scale transfer has taken place in some regions and links,but the mobile phone value chain transfer activities are concentrated in a few regions.(5)Location Selection of Enterprises in Different Value Chain Sections of Mobile Phone IndustryBased on the existing theories,the location factors affecting different links in the value chain of mobile phone enterprises were extracted,and the negative binomial regression model was used to make an empirical analysis of the factors affecting Chinese mobile phone research and development,production and sales enterprises as well as newly-added enterprises,so as to summarize their location selection preferences.The study found that mobile phone R&D companies prefer cities with high economic development orientation,abundant human capital,and most of them are located in municipalities or provincial capitals.Mobile phone manufacturers prefer cities with sufficient labor supply and good policy environment.Mobile phone sales enterprises cloth preference consumer market and high level of traffic access.On the whole,the factors affecting the location of each link of the value chain of China's mobile phone industry have similarities and differences,and the factors also change with the change of time.
