Mobile space information service is a kind of space information service provided for users in mobileenvironment. In the current situation of mobile space information service, there are still some problemsexisting, including the low transmission efficiency and the longtime waiting for the mobile terminal todisplay. Focused on these two problems, this paper proposes some ideas and methods. The major studies ofthe paper are summarized as follows:1.As for present progressive transmission method, this paper adds a judgment to judge whether userscancel the request and consequently avoid time waste caused by the transmission of large amount of spacedata. This paper also designs specific solution plan, which includes two parts. Firstly, with pretreatment,space information can be expressed on the basis of different kinds of scales to form space information ofdifferent resolution. Secondly, after compressed and processed, the space information can be transmittedprogressively on the network. After the analysis, the improved progressive transmission increases theefficiency of space information transmission to some extent.2.With the limited performance of the mobile devices, the paper makes some attempts in order toimprove the download image data storage, speed up the display of image data. Under the framework ofmobile terminal multi-thread structure, the paper uses the hierarchical block structure to organize and storethe image data, and sets up dynamic redundancy quadtree index; then uses the dynamic redundancyquadtree index to quickly retrieve the desired image block; and finally combines with block-splicingtechniques and caching strategies to quickly display the image data. The experiments show that the time todisplay space information is shortened and users’ practical needs can be better satisfied by doing so.3.On the basis of the platform environment of android mobile terminal, this paper not designs themajor function modules of the prototype system in mobile space information service and achieves the basicfunctions with java language. Lastly, this paper provides effect diagram of browser operation.
