Research On Evaluation Of Academic Papers' Influence Based On Dynamic Citation Data

The academic papers' influence not only reflects the academic level and scientific research ability of academic authors,but also reflects the academic reputation and scientific research strength of scientific research institutions and disciplines.Moreover,there is an inseparable relationship between world first-class universities and first-class disciplines construction in China and the highly influential academic papers.Therefore,the evaluation of academic papers'influence is an important part of scientific research management,and it is also the focus that researchers and managers have always paid attention to.At present,the evaluation of academic papers' influence mainly includes qualitative evaluation,quantitative evaluation and the combination of the two.Among them,qualitative evaluation is based on peer review;however,quantitative analysis is based on bibliometric method(citation analysis)and Altmetrics(social media data).The bibliometric method based on the citation analysis is an important method for evaluating academic papers' influence,and it has an indispensable role.Besides,in the process of evaluating academic papers,citation analysis includes quantitative evaluation and peer review("small peers"and "big peers ").Based on the above research background,this study presents a new perspective,new method and new idea to quantify and evaluate the academic papers' influence,which starts from the perspective of academic citation and cited,and regards the dynamic citation data of academic papers as the basic data.It also contains two dimensions,which includes the influential breadth(influential range)and influential depth(influential degree),and three levels,which includes literature-level(basic index),author-level(detail index),discipline-level(extensional index)to comprehensively quantify and evaluate the academic papers' influence.In addition to the introduction,conclusion and prospect,the content framework of this paper mainly consists of three parts.The first part(including chapter 2 and chapter 3)is the basic concepts and theoretical basis.Chapter 2 is to summarized the definition,classification,characteristics and functions of academic papers,discuss the definition,elements and types of the academic papers' influence,and finnaly,discuss the three commonly used methods(peer review,quantitative evaluation and comprehensive evaluation)of evaluating the academic papers' influence and the evaluation system(construction principles,system research and deficiency).Chapter 3 is to discuss the citing papers and cited papers,citation chain,citation network,and citation motivation and citation behavior.It also discusses the concept,history,type and application of citation citation analysis.Then,the terms of the influencical breadth of academic papers and the influencical depth of academic paper are introduced,and the relationship between the citation breadth,citation depth,citation time and the evaluation of the academic papers'influence are probed,and the framework of evaluating the academic papers'influence based on dynamic citation data is constructed,which provides a theoretical basis for further study and research ideas.The second part(including chapter 4,chapter 5,chapter 6 and chapter 7)uses mathematical statistics,correlation analysis and other methods to explore the elements of citation literature for evaluating the academic papers' influence.Chapter 4 is to discuss wheather the citation frequency,citation frequency peak time,peak amount and dynamic citation time factor for evaluating the academic papers' influence.The results show that:the uneven distribution of citation frequency of academic papers provides a basis for evaluating the academic papers' influence;citation frequency peak time of academic papers is in the second to fourth years published by academic papers,but it can not be used to evaluate the academic papers' influence;the peak amount of academic papers can be used to evaluate the academic papers' influence,and the citation time factor can better reflect the dynamic influence of academic papers.The academic papers' influence is divided into:short-term academic papers' influence,mid-term academic papers' influence and long-term academic papers' influence.Chapter 5 is to discuss wheather the number and strength of citation type of citation literatures and the dynamic system based on citation type of citation literatures for evaluating the academic papers' influence.The study finds that:the number and strength of citation type of citation literatures can quantify the academic papers' influence;besides,the academic papers' influence based on the strength of citation type of citation literatures focuses on quantifying the influence of the academic journal papers;the dynamic evaluation system of academic papers' influence based on the type of citation literature can dynamically and continuously evaluate the comprehensive academic papers'influence on the literature level from the three indexes of the number,strength and time of the cited literature types.Chapter 6 is to discuss wheather the number and strength of citation author and the dynamic system based on citation author for evaluating the academic papers' influence.The study found that:the number and strength of citation author can quantify the academic papers' influence;the dynamic evaluation system of academic papers' influence based on the citation author can dynamically and continuously evaluate the comprehensive academic papers'influence on the autor level from the three indexes of the number,strength and time of the citation author.Chapter 7 is to discuss wheather the number and strength of citation discipline and the dynamic system based on citation discipline for evaluating the academic papers' influence.The study found that:the number and strength of itation discipline can quantify the academic papers' influence;the dynamic evaluation system of academic papers' influence based on the itation discipline can dynamically and continuously evaluate the comprehensive academic papers'influence on the discipline level from the three indexes of the number,strength and time of the itation discipline.The third part(Chapter 8)is the comprehensive evaluation of academic papers' influence based on dynamic citation data.Firstly,the comprehensive evaluation model of academic papers' influence based on dynamic citation data is established,and its construction four principles,objectives and elements are described,the weight of indicators are determined with principal component analysis and factor analysis,and the dynamic evaluation system is established.Secondly,the comprehensive influence of the academic papers on sample data(academic papers in the field of Library and information and digital library in CNKI-CCD database)is evaluated.Finally,by comparing with the evaluation results based on the citation index data and the evaluation results based on the cited frequency,the reliability of this established model is assessed.It finds that the dynamic evaluation system of academic papers' influence based on the dynamic citation data can can reflect the comprehensive academic papers'influence from the literature level,the author level and the discipline level.
