| With the rapid development of high technology, new media come out in an unending flow; media landscape have taken fundamental changes; the tides of media convergence spring up and sweep across the whole world. In the context of this new era, the western mainstream media had implemented "Omni media development strategy" at the first decade of this century to cope with the impact of new media. In 2014, the Communist Party and the government of our country promoted "development of traditional media and new media convergence" to a national strategy, and this action was to seize the height of information dissemination. Our mainstream media acted without delay upon hearing this news, they immediately released a mode of news production called "Central Kitchen", and they did some helpful attempts in the area of developing traditional media and new media convergence.Faced with the exploration which may have occurred or undergo in domestic and foreign media industry, the academic circle discussed the following issues include, "What is media convergence?" "Which area will fuse?" "What’s the way to fuse?" "What is the mature form of media convergence?" The discussion is much fiercer especially in recent years, and most of them are around "What is media convergence?" This is because if we couldn’t make this fundamental issue clear, other issues could not get satisfactory answer.According to my investigation, since the first year of media convergence of our country in 2014, our academic circles have different views about "What is media convergence?" To sum up, there are two views. Someone held that media convergence is that new media bring about full coverage, and the traditional media will no longer exist; the other people held that media convergence is that traditional media and new media must complement each other, and they follow the rules "you are part of me and I am part of you".The author agrees with the latter view, and gives the news that media convergence is the integrated form of media symbiosis. Meanwhile this paper imports the symbiosis theory; it tries to make intensive study on the symbiotic condition, mode, form of traditional media and new media from this theoretical perspective; and it illustrated that the process of these two types of media symbiosis is the process of integration. When symbiosis reached a degree of integrated form, its integrated form of symbiosis is the mature form of media convergence.Because of the rapid development of new media, it causes some traditional media practitioners’doomsday inquietude suffuses the whole industry. Among these media practitioners, some older people sit by and watch the sunset, and drift with the current; there are middle-aged people who feel "ability panic", and they may lose their heads; some teenagers transfer into new media one after another. Faced with this circumstance, the author attempts to provide theoretical support for the reciprocal symbolic development for traditional media and new media based on his own research, and they point out the way for the traditional media who suffers survival crisis.In terms of worldwide, the development of media convergence has no mature model to reference. Nowadays scholars proposed that "traditional media and new media integrate deeply in content, channel, platform, management and administration", to sum up in a word, this means the integrated symbiosis form of these two types of media. Therefore, this paper proposes that "media convergence is the integrated form of media symbiosis", and it goes without saying.Beside the research summary, the main part of this paper has three chapters, and they respectively discuss the symbiotic conditions, symbiotic modes, symbiotic forms of traditional media and new media.The first chapter of this paper discusses the necessary conditions for traditional media and new media symbiosis, which means there was at least one group compatible with quality parameter, and it can generate at least one symbiotic interface with the degree of affinity and relevance not less than a certain critical value. Then it discusses the necessary conditions of traditional media and new media symbiosis, which provide a way to exchange substance, information and energy favorably; it can generate new energy for symbiosis; and the information abundance of both sides can continue to increase. Finally, it discusses the correlated equilibrium conditions and stable conditions for traditional media and new media symbiosis.The second chapter discusses the symbiotic mode of traditional media and new media. Their symbiotic modes can be divided into two categories with eight kinds of modes. The first category is the symbiotic organizational model of traditional media and new media, and it can be divided into four kinds of modes including point symbiotic mode, interim symbiotic mode, continuous symbiotic mode and integrative symbiotic mode. The second category is the symbiotic behavior patterns of traditional media and new media, which is divided into four modes including parasitic mode, partial interest symbiotic mode, asymmetric symbiotic mode and symmetric symbiotic mode.The third chapter discusses the form, evolution path and mechanism of traditional media and new media symbiosis. When inquiring into the symbiotic form, this paper firstly shows the structural relationship of these sixteen basic symbiotic form structures by a list. Then on the basis of the process of new media producing and development, it indicates that these sixteen basic symbiotic forms successively appear at three different periods. When inquiring into the symbiotic evolution path, it respectively explained the nine symbiotic forms of evolutionary path from three dimensions including "the improvement of distribution symmetry and the change of symbiotic energy", "the unchanging of distribution symmetry and the change of symbiotic energy", "the decrease of distribution symmetry and the change of symbiotic energy". When inquiring into the evolution mechanism of symbiotic form, it explains "quality parameters compatible mechanism", "symbiotic energy generation mechanism", "symbiotic interface selection mechanism", "symbiotic evolutionary mechanism" in de(?)ails.In the last part of " question and discussion ", this thesis shares opinions on the many practical issues, to supplement the shortage of the elaboration above. Nevertheless, it also shows that the author will continue to revolve around these issues of further research. |
