In order to scientifically deal with and effectively prevent the risk of haze-fog in school physical activities in China, the study explores the problem of coping behavior of school sports participants from a psychological perspective. The study introduced risk communication and risk cognition variables, discussed concept dimensions of coping behaviors, risk communication, risk perception of haze-fog in school sports and their measurement, surveyed the status quo and main influencing factors of risk perception, risk communication and coping behaviors of haze-fog for school and sports participants, constructed the theory of haze-fog coping behavior in school physical activities, revealed the coping behavior mechanism of haze-fog in school physical activities, and proposed response measures, with a view to providing a basis and guidance for school and physical activities participants to actively cope with haze-fog.In order to improve the validity of the research, the study used exploratory sequence mixed research design, convergent mixed research design and nested mixed research design, and specifically adopted the knowledge map method, interview method, descriptive nature research, grounded theory, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method, and obtained the following results.(1)The concept of haze-fog risk coping behavior in physical activities includes two dimensions of positive response and negative response. The concept of haze risk communication in school physical activities includes three dimensions of information notification, publicity platform, and information feedback. The concept of haze risk perception in school physical activities includes three dimensions of subjective perception, subjective evaluation, and rational judgment.(2)The Scale of Haze-fog Coping Behavior of School Physical Activities has a single dimension which is positive response. The Scale of Haze-fog Risk Communication of School Physical Activities includes two dimensions of active knowledge acquisition and passive reception. The Scale of Haze-fog Risk Perception of School Physical Activities includes two dimensions of harmfulness and fear. The reliability and validity of the three scales meet the recommended measurement standards, which can be used to measure the three variables of risk perception, risk communication and risk coping behavior of haze in school physical activities.(3)Under the influence of haze, school sports participants showed high perception of haze risk and weak coping behavior, and schools showed low communication of haze risk of physical activities.(4)Demographic variables are the influencing factors of risk communication, risk perception, and coping behavior of haze-fog in physical activities, but the overall explanatory power is weak. The main influencing factors of the haze risk communication in school physical activities are experience and policy supervision. The main influencing factors of the haze risk perception in school physical activities are the exposure degree and risk communication. The main factors of school participants are harm perception, information communication and industry systems.(5)The deviation theory of knowledge and action can better explain the coping behavior and the phenomenon in the haze days. The main idea of this theory is that the haze risk communication can lead to a positive response behavior for school sports participants under the administrative intervention, and the haze hazard consensus that participants “knowing what it is but don't know why” causes evasion of response behavior under under the constraints of real conditions.Superficial hazard perceptiom is difficult to promote participants' positive coping behavior, and the impact of riskperception on positive coping behavior cannot be separated from the support of conditional factors.(6)The haze-fog risk communication positively affects haze-fog coping behavior,haze-fog risk communication positively affects haze-fog risk perception,haze-fog risk perception positively affects haze-fog coping behavior, and risk perception has an incomplete mediating role in the impact of risk communication on behavior for school sports participants.Various forms of haze-fog risk knowledge teaching and haze-fog information notification can be carried out by schools to promote the active participation of sports participants in the smog risk.(7)There is a problem that the threshold setting too high for school sport activities stopping standards in haze days, and that school stopping outdoor sport activities are untimely and inaccurate in most places in the north. Therefore, the recommendations were proposed for stopping standards for sports activities in haze-fog days by the study, thatkindergarten,Primary and secondary schools and universities can stop outdoor sports activities immediately when it reach the threshold according to AQI>150,AQI>200,and AQI>300.(8)Overall,the countermeasures for haze-fog are relatively limited to the participants in sports activities, favorable venue environmental conditions and related policy and system are strong guarantees for individual participants to actively cope to haze-fog.Future research needs to turn to related policies and systems to solve the problem of compensation for physical education under the haze-fog,the standard of stopping sports activities and the risk communication of school regulations. It calls on relevant departments to introduce industry policies and systems such as “ The school physical education syllabus in haze-fog days”and“The industry standard of emergency plan for school physical activity in heavy polluted weather”,in order to promote the active coping behavior of individual participants and to ensure the orderly, standardized and reasonable development of school sports teaching activities under the haze-fog days.
