Research On Social Work Participation In College Student Affairs

On December 8,2016,General Secretary Xi stressed at the National Conference on the ideological and political work of Colleges and Universities that ideological and political work in colleges and universities should be changed by events,moved forward from time to time,and renewed by the situation.However,through the empirical studies of many universities in China,it is found that college student affairs faces many practical problems,such as dilemma of subjectivity,forcing pressures of objectivity and environmental challenges etc,which makes it be the realistic motivation of the social work to participate in college students affairs.Then,on the basis of sorting out and figuring out the historical developments and characters in both social work and college student affairs,this paper find that,at the academical level,there exists a unification of coupling and prosthetic with an inherent relevance in both social work and college student affairs,which makes it be the logical foundation of social work participating in college student affairs.But on the practical level,how to reflect the function effect of social work participating in college student affairs needs to be answered further with our logic thoughts.Based on the empirical study of social work participating in college students affairs in many colleges and universities,this paper finds out that social work has many functions in the participating of student work in college students affairs,which functions can be distinguished by conceptual tools of manifest function and latent function.After distinguishing,the manifest function of social work participating in college student affairs is that actors foreseen in advance and realize the concealed functions and its performance is in the nature of the service function in college students affairs in the field of practical consequences,mainly including to provide effective guidance for college students’ development,to provide full attention and support for disadvantaged college students,to suggest and induct students organization owing inherent power,etc.And the latent function is that actors didn’t foreseen in advance and didn’t realize the concealed functions that are wandering around the college student affairs’ service sector,in the field of education,management,team construction and so on practical consequences.And its concrete manifestation is in promoting the operation of “All Staff Education”,the student management system of tertiary prevention and the core quality optimization of college students’ workers etc.Further,it is found that there is an inevitable internal logic behind each functional implementation.On the continuation of the research logic,the problem of how to realize the social work participation in college students affairs needs to be further clarified.In response to this problem,this paper puts forward the practical mode of social work participating in college students affairs.Through analyzing micro,messo and macro factors affecting the participation of social work in college students affairs,and with the help of model classification variables,this paper tries to put forward the primary integration of attachment model,internal drive inductive assistance model and external drive embedded cooperation model,which are three kinds of practical models of the participation of social work in college student affairs,and clarifies the characteristics of each model based on the characteristic analysis variables.Above that,this paper also explores the meaning of applicability in constructing the practical mode from the scope of application and structural growth aspects.
