As a major local higher education resource,newly-built undergraduate colleges have provided effective services and made certain contributions to local economic and social development.However,with the rapid development of the industrial economy and the adjustment of the country's economic and social development methods,the ability of newly-established universities to provide services for the new development of the local economy and society has not been improved in time,the power,which those universities should provide to support region development in leap-forward and innovation parts,is not strong enough.Promoting their social service ability,improving the effect of serving local economic and social development,for both parts,further research is urgently needed in theory and practice.This study is based on the theory of resource dependence,from the view of maintaining organization survival and supporting organization development,using the literature research and survey interview methods,depth into six newly-built undergraduate colleges,conducts on-site interview to social service statement.Questionnaire surveys were conducted on 204 teachers from some newly-established undergraduate colleges in Henan Province,and accordingly,abundant first-hand information was obtained.Using a multidisciplinary theory such as pedagogy,sociology,and management in a comprehensive manner,the main path for enhancing the social service ability of newly-built undergraduate colleges is discussed in multi-disciplinary cross-reference and enlightenment.Trying to achieve the unity of theory and practice,the unity of commonness and individuality,a multi-dimensional perspective on the way to improve social services and their ability in newly-built undergraduate colleges answers the question of strengthening and enhancing social service capabilities in newly built undergraduate colleges.The first is the two dimensions which are external power and endogenous power.It clarifies the driving force for the new undergraduate colleges to improve their social service capabilities from the requirements of regional economic and social developmentand the requirements about its own development.one viewpoint is maintained as the target of newly-built promotes its service capacity is to increase the value of resource exchanging.It also points out that producing high-adaptable and high-potential resource which is needed by the development of society,increase the value of recourse exchanging and its position and speech during this period,acquiring more recourse for development are the final duties and core aims.Second,the specific practice of improving the social service capacity of some newly-built undergraduate colleges in Henan Province was targeted.Through a scan from the surface to the point,a systematic review was made of the practical actions taken by the newly-built undergraduate colleges to improve their social service capabilities,trying to sum up experience,clarify problems,analyze causes,and find patterns.Research start from the surface,it summarizes the performance and achievements of social services in newly-built undergraduate colleges,reflects on the existing problems and deficiencies,and rethinks the main obstacles to the improvement of social service capabilities of newly-built undergraduate colleges within the school,also analyze the forming factors of the barriers to the promotion of social service ability in newly-built undergraduate colleges from both internal and external aspects;this research operated from the points,based on the case study of Nanyang Institute of Science and Technology,Summarized the main path and experience of Nanyang Institute of Science and Technology in enhancing social service capabilities.Based on the above studies,based on the guidance of the generality of contradictions and the laws governing the relationship between particularities,according to the practice of improving the social service ability of some newly-built undergraduate colleges in Henan Province,the law of promoting social service ability in newly-built undergraduate colleges is discussed.The improvement of social service ability in newly-built undergraduate colleges is the result of the combined effect of action and support capabilities,the action is reflected in whether the specific service activities for the society in the newly-built undergraduate colleges are in place,and the support is reflected in the quality and level of specific service activities carried out by the newly-built undergraduate colleges for the society.Third,in accordance with the idea of perfecting the top-level design and guidingspecific actions,the guiding ideology and basic principles for constructing the path for upgrading the social service capabilities of newly-built undergraduate colleges are summarized.proposed the action regional economic and social development based on the improvement of mobility,improve the ability to provide scientific and technological services for regional economic and social development,enhance the action path to provide technical training services for the operation management of local enterprises,institutions and government agencies;Based on on the supporting force,enhance the professional structure,education mode,technical service,faculties building,the supporting path of rules atmosphere adaptable;Six strategies to support the construction of a path for the improvement of social service capabilities in newly-built undergraduate colleges are proposed,including the role of leader,the construction of disciplines and professional clusters,the transformation of teaching staff,the reform of management mechanisms,the development of applicable talents,and the construction of a technology service platform.
