As a populous country,China has made remarkable achievements in reducing poverty. The great achievements China has made in reducing poverty are of great significance to the economic development of China and the world at large.Summarizing China's experience in poverty eradication can be summarized in three aspects:High economic growth since the reform and opening up,government governance of poverty, and improved capacity investment. The above summary gives a good overview of China's experience in poverty reduction, but the lack of gender sensitivity in perspective. It did not notice that a social phenomenon has quietly emerged when the incidence of poverty in China declines since the reform and opening up:The status of the female family is gradually rising. We ponder whether the rise in the status of women's families has made women more active in the family, and the effect of alleviating poverty. This study analyzes the influence of female family status on poverty and its mechanism, and improve the existing experience in poverty eradication, and accelerate Poverty Alleviation Program for All Poverty Populations by the End of 2020,and has extremely important theoretical and practical significance. This research is about theoretical research and empirical analysis of the status of women's family affecting intergenerational poverty, and Provide a gender perspective of the analytical framework for explaining China's poverty. This study extends the traditional gender dividend theory to the family level and proposes the concept of family gender dividends. It points out that by promoting gender equality in the family and promoting the formation of children's human capital, reducing the incidence of poverty for children is the process of women's release of family gender dividends. On this basis, this paper has constructed a framework for analysis of family gender dividends, test of the path and results of women's family status affecting children's poverty,by China Family Tracking Survey Data for 2014.This study consists of four parts:The first part is Chapter 1-2,which provides programmatic introduction and research basis for the full text. The chapter 1 is the introduction, which introduces the research background, research ideas, research methods, and main innovation points of the full text. The Chapter 2 is a review of the literature, sorting out the study of family gender dividends, family expenditure decisions, and poverty research. It focuses on the research on gender dividends in the family, and presents further research directions and trends on the basis of the review. The second part is Chapter 3.It puts forward the theoretical analysis framework on the basis of the relatively fixed hypothesis of the status of the female family.Firstly this section constructed the analysis path of women's family status, the formation of children's human capital, the occurrence of children's poverty. Then, from the perspective of household expenditure decision-making,this paper discusses the current and long-term effects of female family status on women's spending preference under the condition that family resources are constrained. This is the mechanism by which female family status influences child poverty. The current effect is that household expenditure is tilted towards household public expenditure including human capital investment, and the long-term effect is to promote the increase of children's human capital.Furthe,.this study discusses that women's spending preferences may differ according to their children's genders, under the cultural background of boys' preferences, and state the compensatory hypothesis that the status of women's family status promote the human capital of daughters. Finally, based on the theory of human capital,it discusses the impact of children's education capital and healthy capital on their poverty, and shows that women's family status has an impact on their children's poverty. The third part is chapter 4-7,which is based on the current status of field survey data and empirical analysis. This section describes the status of women's family status and empirically analyzes the effect of women's family status on family expenditures, the formation of children's human capital, and children's poverty by 2014 CFPS.Chapter 4 describes the current status of women's family status.Chapter 4 proposes a reasonable measurement theory and indicator setting for women's family status based on a summary of the existing advantages and disadvantages of various women's family status measurement theories and indicators.Chapters 5-6 are the mechanisms by which women's family status influences the occurrence of child poverty.Chapter 5 empirically analyzes the current effects of women's family status on women's spending preferences, that the influence of women's family status on household spending.Chapter 6 empirically analyzes the long-term effects of women's family status on women's spending preferences, that the influence of women's family status on the formation of children's human capital.Chapter 7 empirically analyzes the impact of female family status on child income and poverty. The fourth part is Chapter 8,and is the conclusion of this article and the countermeasures and suggestions. This section finds forward-looking and feasible policy recommendations for promoting gender equality in the family and promoting the release of family gender dividends by women. Finally, this article points out the shortcomings and the issues to be studied in the next step. The main research conclusions of the paper include:(1)Women have a relatively high status in less than one-third of households.Although the position of women in the family has been greatly improved, there is still much room for improvement.(2)The family status of women with different characteristics in rural areas is very different and there are already significant differences in internal.(3)In current rural families, children's education and health are not high, and their daughter's education and health are always lower than their sons. With the development of the times, the education gap and health gap between daughters and sons have shown a trend of shrinking.(4)Female family status has a current effect on female spending preferences. The higher the status of women in the family, the more their family expenditures are towards public spending.Compared to urban families, this current effect is even more pronounced in rural families.(5)In rural families, female family status has a long-term effect on female spending preferences. The higher the status of female family, the higher the level of human capital of their children. The increase in the status of rural women's family has no significant effect on narrowing the gap in the level of human capital between daughters and sons.(6)The rise of women's family status has raised the income of children, reduced the poverty of children's and released family gender dividends. The innovation of the thesis is mainly reflected in the following four aspects:First, from the perspective of research, this study uses the theoretical perspectives of gender economics and gender sociology to study poverty, and deepens and enriches poverty research.Second, from the research framework. This study combines the background of the rising status of Chinese women in the family and extends the gender dividend theory to the family level. It constructs a theoretical analysis framework for the gender dividend of the family and integrates women's family status, household spending decisions, children's human capital formation, and children's poverty into an organic whole.Thirdly, from the research content, this study not only examines the current effects of women's family status on women's spending preferences-the impact on family spending levels and structure, but also tests the long-term effects of women's family status on women's spending preferences. The influence of children's human capital formation.Further it examines whether the rising status of women in the context of Chinese boy preference will reduce the gap in the level of human capital between daughters and sons within the same family.Fourth, from the perspective of research methods, this study uses the latest large-scale national sample data, mainly using descriptive statistics and micro-metric analysis. It overcome the shortcomings of representativeness and persuasiveness of small sample data in the past.
